yah, i might go another year or so too... no sense drain/filling it if there's no discoloration. it is mostly water anyway..

Antifreeze does a lot more than just lower the freezing point. It has corrosion inhibitors and various other additives that are necessary for a healthy engine. While the ethylene glycol that most AFs use will maintain its cooling qualities for a long time, the additives "wear out" over time and need to be replaced.

I don't know how long modern additives are good for but I like to replace all "long life" fluids in a car (AF, transmission and differential lubes, &c) every 30-50K miles/3-4 years or so. More often on older, "classic" cars. YMMV

One of the problem is that AFs get acidic, so you got to change it before it get to that point.

wait what? coolant is blue? mine is green. the coolant in the reservoir is green and the coolant itself from nissan is green. perhaps because mine is the one that you have to add distilled water to (i.e. not the pre-mixed coolant)?

Ok antifreeze u got ripped off by about $11, also make sure the coolant is the same color that is in the car, i had an issue with some sevice techs putting the wrong colot in, "everything will be fine he says" 4 month in my coolant is brown to black color.

Runt flats, take em off and burn them, they are the most terrrible thing u can put on other than wrong coolant, one pothole made a friend of mine crash his bmw, and the pothole wasnt even all that big, where a regular tire would go over it no problem(even a low profile like myne). Their walls are weard. They are terrible add on in my opinion, not worth it, u do have a spare, use it. Plus they bubble on potholes. Gl OP.

Let's be clear, the coolant is not labeled lifelong. Nissan is not suggesting that you don't ever need to change your coolant. The term they use is Long Life. There is a difference. Typically, coolants are good for about 150K miles or 5 years.

The Nissan green coolant is concentrate (must add distilled water) and rated for 105K miles or 7 years. The Nissan blue coolant is pre-diluted (50/50 mix) and rated for 135K miles or 10 years.
