Why still no official Nurburgring time for 370Z?

Or is there? Only time I can find is for a 350Z.

m4a1mustang 12-03-2015 12:27 PM

Because no one actually cares about a Nurburgring time.

Why not? It makes a pretty good comparison to other cars, since pretty much all performance cars get tested there.

Eh, I'd argue it doesn't. To compare, you have to assume:

1) Like conditions
2) The drivers were 100% perfect through 14.x miles and 1xx corners

Not happening.

Doesn't mean a thing! It's a hype number and that's it.

theDreamer 12-03-2015 12:46 PM

And you must assume that manufacturers play nice that what they set time trials with is truly what is sold on the car to the public which it not many times.

I'd rather compare lap times for me vs. the forum on local tracks.

This is like comparing top speeds of cars... not a useful data point for how the drive went.

TerribleONE 12-03-2015 12:51 PM

Took so long the timers battery died.

birdman71 12-03-2015 01:00 PM

7 minute laps when averaging 150mph+ lmao

kenchan 12-03-2015 01:10 PM

If the brakes didn't fail first.

i think u just pissed off all the mag spec-racers. :rofl2:

TerribleONE 12-03-2015 01:19 PM

So the official answer is, no stock 370z will make it around the ring. Next best thing is a time with it riding around on a flatbed?

As has been mentioned, the first attempt crashed due to overheated brakes. The second attempt stalled due to right hand turn. They figured third time was a charm, but instead the car exploded the instant the gas pedal was pressed :eekdance:

next race: which flatbed can make it around the ring with a 370Z on its bed the fastestest ? :rofl2:

TerribleONE 12-03-2015 01:23 PM

What do you guys think the 0-60 time on my TT Z is? I am wondering if I can beat my neighbors Bugatti.

This is SOOOOOOOOOOOO true. Anyone who has even TRIED running stock on any track will tell you this. The brakes will be cooked 4 minutes in. Tops. Though your oil might overheat first. Or the perfect storm, limp mode, fuel starve, brakes on fire. Perfect.

Nope, got it straight from Nissan, CSC failed first! :ugh2:

2.3-2.5 seconds. You'd probably get a good jump with him and have a good chance in a 1/4-1/2 but anything in the mile category, he will probably rip past you at one point due to the huge a$$ engine

That is not possible because Nissan is not aware of any problem with the CSC. But I did confirm that the reason behind the explosion was CSC failure :wtf2:

DOOMMONKEY777 12-03-2015 09:36 PM

No post cuz everybody knows its faster than the 350z nor its too far way either.
