I was curious exactly how you can tell if you have a touring 370z. I know I have the sport package, what exactly constitutes a touring? I suppose I'm just not clear on what is added with the touring option?

Bose audio system with integrated bluetooth. Leater, heated, power seats.

I also think you get the rear hatch privacy cover and dual zone climate control. Not sure on these 2.

And Nav

Yes on the hatch cover, no on the dual zone climate control, it's regular climate control, not dual zone.

Nav is optional on the Touring

Touring also has the Self dimming rearview mirror with homelink

jb1 your right! since mine came loaded i thought Nav was incl on touring.

Quickest, exterior - the XM radio anteana on the roof.

Interior - left-hand controls for cell phone on the steering wheels, leather seats, heater switches for seats, auto-dimming mirror, Bose system.

Hmm so if I have Bose stereo, leather seats, and heated, power seats I have the touring option?

Ok thanks for clearing this up guys, my stereo is bose and my seats are heated so I guess I have the touring option.

BTW, there are two versions of the Z - The 370z Base model, and the 370z Touring model.

I was wondering the same thing. When you purchase a car, there's this little thing called a bill of sale that comes with it. There's also the window sticker.

And a price difference...

I bought my car with 3000k on it and as a result got a fantastic price on it.
My requirements were black/sport/6MT, it was the only one avail in my area.

The price was right so I bought the car. If it didn't have touring I still would have bought it. Was a fantastic price, and the colour I wanted and had sport which was a must.

I'm glad to find out I have touring but it really wasn't a factor in my decision to purchase my vehicle.

Ughhhh good luck with a black car. I paid the price when I got my 350 in black.

I had a 2005 mustang GT in black and it was a bear to keep clean.
But if you love washing your car then it is a great and my fave color.

What did you pay for the car?

I purchased the vehicle for 41k Canadian.
Looking all across Ontario I didn't see a single vehicle with the same options avail for under 43,500CDN at the time.

The Nissan dealer had been a GM dealership for the previous 30 years, in August 2009 they were told that the dealership was to be closed by GM, so the owner converted to a Nissan dealership and decided after 30 years of driving Vets he better give a 370z a try.

He drove it for a month and I bought it. He's an older gentleman in his late 60's so not too worried about his driving habits.

I hear you. My 300zx was yellow and it was a dream to keep clean.

I was seriously considering going PG for this reason, but when I see a black car and it's cleaned and detailed, nothing looks nicer IMO.

It will be garaged stored but having said that I do plan to drive it this winter so I know I'll have my work cut out for me.

I used to ALWAYS clean mine for the first year I had it. Black does look best clean but the work catches up to you. Even when I DO garage it the thing still shows dust in like 30min lol

...rear hatch privacy cover?! Is THAT available for the 350, too, as far as you guys know???

Not that I'm aware of. Given where the rear strut brace is in the 350, I don't see how one would work for it.

Yep - I figure dust doesn't eat paint and doesn't scratch it just sitting there.

I take it down to the spray-n-wash place and hit it with the sprayer to get it all off + bugs and whatever else I find that shouldn't be there, then bring it home and wash it again after that (to get the crap that got on it from the drive home while still wet), then dry it, then polish/wax it...then sit it in the garage again because I don't want to get it dirty, then it gets dirty anyway from sitting in said garage from dust in the air, then when it gets a decent layer, I feel I didn't get to "enjoy" it being clean...

Rinse + repeat.

Well when the dust settles I just take a microfiber and wipe it down since the wax is already on the car. It comes off like a hot knife through butter. I have a car cover for when I wax it and put it in the garage though :p I am VERY VERY anal about my car when its clean. I take an entire day to clean it I want it to stay clean as long as possible. I will carry a quick detail spray and microfiber on me in case I hit water or something :ugh:

I'm not quite THAT anal, but I do know what you mean about wanting to keep my car clean after I spent so much time cleaning it. When I get home, I always check for bug splatters or any other blemishes and take care of them immediately. You know what really drives me nuts? People who don't aim their sprinklers properly. I'm just driving along, minding my own business, go around a curve and an entire patch of road is soaking wet because some a-hole decided to just willy nilly water not only the grass, but the entire road! Those people piss me off.

or on the freeway in front of you, I want run them off the road wtf !!!

Man I HATE THAT!!!!! It always seems to happen to me right after I do a detail, some fool spraying and it goes over the top of their car and lands all over the front of my car....... and most times it isn'e even bad weather.

The Mini Guys (who seem to have a sense of humor) Turn their rear washer into something like a squirt gun.... That would probably get you shot in California..

I bet, I have a sense of humor, if raining and my car was dirty would be funny, but, if sunny and a nice fresh detail ....... :shakes head: LOL
