Default Ready for Winter

So for those who insist on using your Z's only on good weather, I am not one to condemn but will say that a my Z was my dream car for lots of years and could not afford it due to having a house and kids so they were a priority. Now I have it and drive it all year round. This will be my second Winter here in NE and can say that the winter tires I bought made a difference....Here are some pics, please enjoy...

I had to drive my Z for one year in the snow. They handle fine as long as the snow doesn't get deep. I have a Range Rover for the snow now, and love it.

It really comes down to how long you want to keep the car and how nice.

I bought these at DTD not sure of the actual name of them but they are still on their site, the best part was that I didn't have to go the "square" set up, the rear are wider than the front, i did have to go 18's vs the original 19's, which is good since they give more room on the wheel well for the snow to fall off and not cake up..

My winter setup is a resurrected salvage title '04 Grand Cherokee with a 2" body lift and 32" tires.

Other mods: 505 Performance stage 2 head (ported polished, gasket matched, oversize valves), Comp cam, Racetech 9.5:1 forged pistons, Rugged Ridge header, cold air intake, custom 2.5" stainless exhaust, Flowmaster 40, front tow hooks, Mopar tow hitch, 3.73 Dyna axles, new paint, Raptor bedliner (wheels, bumpers, and side panels when I get a chance).

I don't have any recent pics so don't judge.

Mine is on a set of 245/50/18s, which are about an inch taller than OEM sizes, to boost ground clearance.

It's crazy how the lighting in the photos makes your car look a completely different color!

Funny how the sun makes all the difference, the top one was taken at 11 am and the second one after I changed he tires and washed the car it was around 2 pm. Also the top one looks like the car is clean and shiny compared to the bottom one that looks dull and dirty go figure

keep them outdoors after the drive, keep them dry and frozen to minimize corrosion.

heated garages are the worst as salt and ice melts overnight and corrodes the car where you can't see it unless you're under.

My winter set up. I usually run stock 19" Rays but my winter snow tire set up is on 18" Montegi's.

I also live in Calgary, Alberta. I used to own two cars but now only one as I walk to work so snow driving is minimal but if I have to, I am prepared. There is no replacement for adequate and dedicated rubber on the road.

What's winter????? Does that mean you have snow, that white fluffy stuff? Never seen it. I do nothing to my car for winter, RE11's are ready to go.
