I've seen numbers as low as $.20 a mile upwards to $.50 a mile for calculating "mileage depreciation".

I'd take a look in the "For Sale: 370Z" section of the forums. I'd guess a manual touring with 6k miles should start about 3-4k less than invoice.

That would seem to be the retail number....Plug in profit from Wholesale to retail...I'd guess 20% south of invoice..

Ouch! 20%?

I figured asking price should start around 3-4k below invoice, but someone selling a used Z has to be prepared to take a hit because it's now a "used" car.

He said trade-in.....The dealer needs to extract their pound of flesh. Selling privatey is always the better deal (for the seller)

Pcar?

you have alot of $$$ in mods, all that will go down the tubes with a trade in.

Maybe selling yourself mightbe better to recoup some of that investment.

racerxj17 11-05-2009 08:29 PM

its not for sure going anywhere, but i wanted to find out where i stand so i can figure out if its even feasible.

also, i would without a doubt part out all my mods.......

if it WERE go to, was looking at the new GT500. ugly inside, but a better platform to work off of for big HP. just not that happy with the power output withing having to drop 15k into my car and still worry about a time bomb is starting to make me think outside the box before i dive in.

thanks for everyone help thus far.

I think you will find that no matter what car you get, when you start modding for big HP all cars will constantly have to be tweak and repaired for failing parts and all.

Their asking 50k to 52k for the GT500 :shakes head:
I looked at one before I got my Z.
I traded in a regular 2005 GT with 100k miles for my Z and the Z is light years ahead in quality.
Just wait for the TT kits and you'll have a much better handling car. :driving:
