getting new FI CB, what to do with stock

system? is there any market for them..Contacted local Nissan dismantler and he says $150? Is the stock 2016 CB worth anything?

TerribleONE 11-18-2015 05:06 PM

I'd take the 150$. I gave mine away for free

wanker 11-18-2015 05:09 PM

Do you know who buys used OEM 370z exhausts? Absolutely, nobody.

Take the $150 and run.

barncobob 11-18-2015 05:14 PM

OK I get it,,i hope he doesnt change his mind,,just waiting for FI

I see that you live in CA. If you get pulled over for Exhaust mod, you're gonna have to put back your stock to get your ticket signed off. I'd say keep it if you find a good place to store it.

I am keeping mine.
I can get most of my money back when ever I sell the car, by selling the FI. You only loose about 30% on the resale. No way you will get anyone to give you $1000 more for your car just because it has an FI exhaust. But you will if you put the stock back on and sell the FI exhaust.

This can be said to the majority of any market part(s). Some just don't have the space to store replaced OEM parts. In the end, most who upgrade are not too concerned about keeping and/or replacing the OEM when selling.

For example, I just replaced three toilets in my house and I'm not gonna store them and replace them when it comes to sell. :icon17:

Sorry, but that is a poor analogy. You would, if each of your toilets were $1200 a piece and you could recover $1000 for each.
And if you have a house with three bathrooms, you have room.

Not necessarily, my condo is 2 1/2 bathrooms(3 toilets) and there's no room to store toilets lol

I had the shop throw my OEM exhaust out. After 33k miles in Boston, it was badly rusted anyway.

Nixin 11-19-2015 01:10 PM

Put it up for sale on kijiji or CL.

Smashley 11-19-2015 02:16 PM

Nismo axle back I'd purchase for the tips alone. Who's got one for sale?

osbornsm 11-19-2015 03:03 PM

Keep it for when your F.I. exhaust gets it's cans scraped off and the tips rust out.

Your results may vary...

:shakes head:

I think there is a 2015 for sale in the classifieds.
