Sorry for bumping up a 5 yr old thread.
Just sold a car to carmax few weeks ago. Saw it show up on their site few days ago. What's interesting is the car had some fender work done (backed into while parked). During time of appraisal this damage showed up on the autocheck report they showed me. Today, looking at the publicly viewable autocheck report, that damage has disappeared from the report. Odd how that has disappeared. I think if i'm ever in the user car market, it's worthwhile to spend the money for a proper vehicle inspection by your mechanic.
