Crazy weird sound

I was at a red light and heard what sounded like a a decent size rock land on top of my car it was so weird!! I was like what was that??!! Pulled over into a rite aid parking lot expecting to see some damage to my roof for real and there was nothing. It was the weirdest sound... I looked all around for any sign anything that could've resulted from that sound and couldn't find a thing!! Drove home about a mile away and everything was fine but I cannot accept hearing that crazy sound and there being nothing to show for it. I just don't know what to think at all.... I just don't get it lol. I mean when I heard that sound I was not happy, I immediately regretted taking out the Z but I seriously can't find any evidence for what a crazy sound I heard!!!

I keep thinking maybe it was something else to do with my car that I heard and I just thought it was something landing on my roof but I really can't imagine what it could be

I had this exact thing happen to me when I was pulling into my apartments earlier this week. Sounded like a loud pop almost when something hits yours doors or windshield. Checked the car, nothing. We're probably just being crazy, likely an acorn or something. Or some bubble wrap in the bodywork.

Same thing happened to me last week, and I was in the middle of an almost empty parking lot with no trees overhead to drop acorns. It happened just as I was reaching over to open the center console compartment. I figured I had somehow had the parking brake barely onto the next tooth and bumped it, thus causing it to drop a notch and make the noise. But I am not certain that was the cause of the noise.

Happened to me too once or twice. I assumed it was something hitting the windshield but I never found a mark.

hope it's not a stress fracture in the windsheild...

you sure its not your door locks,,i hear a thunk after 15seconds, I think its the door locks but not positive.
this I hear every time I start out

I had that happen one time, but instead of hitting the roof, it hit the rear glass.

It didn't cause any damage, but it sure made a lot of noise.
