Left side light flickering fast and making noise
I woke up today and went into the garage and saw that my left turning signal light was flickering really fast and making a noise. I try to turn my car on and it don't work either. This happen to anyone before? What do I do?
I forgot I mention that it stoped flickering when I pressed unlock on my keys |
im guessing maybe battery isnt up to snuff or the flasher is toast?

Have you done any work on the car recently (or had any work done), or did this just happen out of the blue?
Is it still flickering, or did it stop for good after you unlocked the car? Sounds like some kind of short, very strange though.. If you own a voltmeter/multimeter, check your battery voltage and see what it reads. |
i'm not sure if this is true or what... i heard this somewhere that when your blinker is going faster than normal it's a sign the bulb/fixture is about to go. possibly. ymmv

Did you check the blinker fluid?

normally a bulb is burned out somewhere in the left side assembly, possibly a brake light, reverse light, or High beam bulb, But a bulb nonetheless on left side, (or whatever side blinks fast when you use the turn signal) could be in the front or back.

Usually when this happens, the side on which it blinks fast, either the rear or front turn signal lamp is burnt. In this case, try to check either your rear or front turn signal lamp.

Check the battery voltage at the battery terminals.
Check voltage on big power cable going to starter from the fuse block attached to battery terminal. Put meter on end of wire going to starter. Check all turn/marker lamps. As per Owner's Manual, a fast blink is used to indicate a burnt out lamp. Battery is not at the top of my list of possibilities, but it's on the list and a LOT easier to check than the lamps. |
