Default Are all 370z's "California certified"?

Did Nissan change anything for 370Z's to be sold in California?

To register a car in California from another state, the gov't requires cars to have "California certification" on its emissions crap.

I have been unable to find a clear answer online - can a 370Z purchased from out of state be registered in CA?

I know that some companies put unique equipment on their cars that go to the California market just to deal with that requirement. Does any know if Nissan did that on the 370Z?

Thanks

Yes. As long as it's stock.

Pretty much it means that you have to pass smog meaning you have to also pass the decibel and emissions test. CA has some of the strictest vehicle emissions laws because they have sold out to any company that produces pollution, so while they are spending money made from bribes by those companies of whom are killing the environment and us and the State Debt climbing; we are being penalized and we as the citizens have to cut down on emissions -.-
Its kind of like when California let Nestle buy 27 million gallons of fresh water for $542.00
Thought we were in a serious drought guys..? lol That's why there's a nestle boycott going on as well
Test pipes I can understand, but anything else is BS. Cops out here don't know the difference between test pipes and HFCS and even regular oem catalyzers when they put the mirror under the car (if that ever happens to you), happened to me. Cop said he saw test pipes and I laughed literally out loud and even started tearing a little. He was like what's so funny huh? I'm towing your car. I said, If you're towing my car I will see you in court when I'm suing you and your partner over there for harassment and falsified evidence plus all court costs, loss of income and any damage that succumbs to my vehicle for having OEM Catalyzers of which aren't illegal (of which I still have on my Z). Needless to say they took another look and said that they didn't get a good enough look last time to realize they were legal and they left.

If you have your OEM Catalyzers slap those on if they already aren't and you can have your bolt on exhaust and be fine as long as its under the required decibels

The CA DMV website says that (for cars 2 years or newer IIRC) the out-of-state car should have "California certified" in the engine bay or something, put there by the dealer to show that it was properly equipped/tested/cleared.

But thanks - if Nevada works then maybe I have the answer

If it helps any, my Z was originally sold in arizona, so i dont see any reason you should have issues other then what was mentioned about aftermarket parts in the previous posts

As mentioned earlier, there should be a sticker under the hood.

Well its definitely a good Idea but sadly the smell of straight and test pipes are completely noticeable when compared to HFCs or OEM cats

in CA you crap your pants every time a cop is behind your Z and your have straights or tests haha. You're like please don't pull me over and just repeating.

F@(K that!!! ill move my @ZZ outta that state. Come to NY, lots of carrier opportunities, lots of shitty road, but hey you can modify ur car out the AZZ, as long as you pass your yearly inspection , and then straight home to put that loud pipe on.

If you get stopped by the police just state that your car is "illegal.". Not only will you get a gift basket, but you qualify for free stuff. It' like winning the lottery.
