Yep, with a touring sport z with nav you are looking at 38-40k which is a huge step, but if you just want the power and no luxury you can lower that price easily. Plus I have plans to re-do the seats anyways so I did not want to drop the extra money and then down the road replace or mess with the seats.

This is a perfect car for a professional race car driver like yourself. The fact that you didn't wreck it on the test drive was a definite plus for both you and the salesman... Have fun...See ya!

Hyundai has come a long way. I worked there for a short period a few years ago and witnessed a signifcant effort to leave the reputation of the past behind them and move forward with better products. I am happy that they have improved their product line to the point that they are no longer considered a low cost, disposable car alternative to the other asian OEMs.
Costco had a Genesis coupe on display a few weeks ago and I checked it out for a few minutes. It's a good looking car that looked like it could deliver. Not my complete cup of tea ultimately but I can see why you bought it. Sorry to hear the Nissan dealer jerked you around but congrats on your new car. Enjoy!

not a terrible car, but I still confuse them with recent model tiburons... That and they're fat pigs, regardless of how much power they make, reminds me of the challenger. Good deal though.

THE POINT - is that I find it funny you were looking at a touring + sport lol... do you wanna tour? do you wanna sport? hahaha... Honestly.. the base Z + sports is all you really need... THE ONLY THING I REGRET about the base is the lack of heated seats... its a sports car.. you are not going to be changing the seat positions... you dont need bluetooth- ******* drive the car not have a car-ference... seriously... you get a Z cus you want a car that makes you grin wider than the turn you just took 3x faster than the car behind you... Good luck w/ the genisis... I would have gotten the 2.0T if I were about to track it... And Im sorry to say this but the fact of the matter is... a Z is more of a track car than a genisis... you will end up spending FAR more than an oil cooler in your geni if you wanna track it...

I looked at the Genesis as well. Congrats on your new car, I don't mean to say your decision is bad. I would rather spend 10k more for a Z with the same options tho.

See I feel I didnt need the sports model but wanted the touring. The bigger brakes on the sports are nice but not really needed, stock brakes work very well. LSD from what I hear isnt that great and an aftermarket one will be much better but youll have to pay for it and unless you are tracking its not really needed. Got the 7AT so rev sync is N/A. Love the heated seats, homelink, bluetooth, power seats, and yes even the Bose as its pretty good for what I need. Plus got them to throw in the spoiler for free. But as you can see its subjective according to each person.
