Rear hatch lock release

I've had my 370Z (06/09 production date) for just about a month and with the arrival of cooler weather I'm finding the hatch release is hanging up first thing in the morning. The dealer just sprayed some white lithium grease in it but the weather warmed up and the release started working fine. That was about a week ago...the cool temps are back and so is the sticking hatch release. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

Don't settle for bandaids like greasing the springs...check the part numbers in that thread and ask for the correct springs.

In the 350s, it used to be the struts that are supposed to hold it open but wouldn't; now it's the hatch door sticking!

Thanks guys...I called the service mgr at the dealership but he isn't aware of any generalized problem so I called Nissan North America. The rep seemed concerned and claims that an area rep will be in touch within 24 hours...we'll see. I do plan to take the pictures of the parts comparison and invoice forum members have made available. I'll let you know how it works out. The production date of my Z is 6/09 and it has the older/shorter lift springs.
