Help me chose between 2012-2015 Z
Hey guys I am still in the market for a Z, and will be buying one very soon in Australia. Can sum1 tell me what are the differences between the 2012-2015 models, besides the cosmetic chance between 2012 and 2013.
Reason being is I had my budget set to $38-40K AUD and found some 2012(MY11) models that I like. But all the ones in that model that I liked from carsales.com.au have been selling out and I am now finding it difficult to find some more on carsales that I like in the 2012-2013 range. But recently I found some nice 2013 (MY13) ones that are a bit more expensive and then I also found a very new 2014 (MY15) for ~$43K AUD here: 2014 Nissan 370Z Z34 Auto MY15 Was wondering is that extra $4-6K is worth it from the one in the above link compared to say an older model like: 2012 Nissan 370Z Z34 Manual MY11 I dont know if I should fork out more for the newer model?? Btw all Zs in Australia are touring models. I havent seen any base models. |

I'd suggest the 2014 one if it wasn't an automatic. Are you looking for a manual or an auto, decide based on that.
Neither of them seems to be a sport, I'd try to find one with sport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Only 22000miles on the 2012! I would snap that one up(I'm partial to manuals)save a bit of money as well.

I don't mind if it's manual or auto tbh. They are both as quick as each other rite?
So you guys rekon 2012 model? If I did get that model I won't be modding it anytime soon as I will be saving up for a house after buying the car. |

go with the 2012, I always preferred the front end vs the look of the 350 on the 2013 on...
then again I am biased I have a 2012 and love it.... manual all the way

I would grab the 2012 because it's manual and you have more lip options. Maybe negotiate both and see which one ends up being the better deal?

Well the guy selling the 2015 model wants $43K AUD and it only has 6000kms on it, whilst the 2012 model from the dealer wants $36-37K AUD that has 35000kms on it. The 2015 model seems a pretty good deal koz most other 2014-2015 model Zs are going for around the same price of $43-45K but they all have almost 5-6x the kms on them. But I am not sure if I am going to spend an extra $7K for it, so I think I will go the 2012 model from the dealer, he just send me some better pics of it, and it is so gorgeous.

if you're able to tell any meaningful difference of 0.1 of a second then go for the 'quicker one'
last time i checked no one here is a pro-circuit driver and fighting for hundredths of seconds so really a moot point. aside from the front fascia, i believe a slight change in the suspension (if at all), an 'oil cooler', and i believe the newer one you listed may come with the sound augmentation. my preference is the 2012< because i like the fangz. although the rims on the newer ones are slightly more sleek (on the sports package) so yea.... |

go 2012 auto.
the front bumper on the 2013+ is ugly to me and it's basically them switching back to the 350 front bumper. I hate the 350 lol orrrrr if your budget can stretch go 2015 nismo auto.

I'm partial but the 12 is my favorite. They added the nominal oil temp stabilizer, the DTRL's I always though looked a little iffy. After '12 it seems like all they did was add a bunch of worthless crap.
