Nismo v. coupe is a tough debate, do what I did, find out all the differences and weight how much it is worth your money/time to buy it from factory or go aftermarket. I did this with the base v. touring and base one, loved the leather seats but the other features I could have cared less for.

Everything has relative value. For some, even the Sports package on a 7AT isn't worth the $, for others, the touring & nismo packages can be "bought" cheaper with respective upgrades. |

I had such high hopes for a Nismo...but the difference in performance is marginal...Nismo owners talk about how they never go to the track and how their time is too valuable for modding...what is the point of buying the Nismo in the first place then? it is supposed to be a track car... i think a base+sport is more than adequate for you...if you want the exclusivity and marginal performance increase..go with the Nismo..is you value your money..go with the base+sport

I like the Nismo parts as they are Nissan manufactured performance and are fully warrantied. I went the route I did as I love Nismo, but not at the expense of my options. I also went the s-tune route as I think it's the best looking since it's a mixture of both models and there very very few out there willing to plunk the money down for one so it seperates the look of my car from all the other Z's out there. The same can be achieved from body kits and performance parts from other manufacturers, but as I stated earlier it's your car so do what you like with it, and choose what you want...

Isnt the Z faster than the G37 anyway? If so then you will be gaining in that aspect already, so if you still want some creature comforts get the touring and mod as needed for whats needed.
