day time running lights
When i start the 370z and drive it (first day i got the car in may.) I noticed that there was no difference in my day time running lights ,front and rear, to when i drive at night with my lights on.
can some body tell me if this is happening with their 370 z. |
are you putting the setting to auto or all the way on?
|
I thought the 370z only had 2 settings, on or auto. Auto will only turn the lights on when the sensor senses it's dark (located on the passenger side dash) and on is....well, on....day or night.

It's a canadian spec car. For canadian models, they have daytime running lights that are essentially full power headlights and taillights. Basically the headlights are on all the time. The only thing the switch controls is the dashboard lights.

i go to toronto pretty often and i dont think i remember seeing tailights needing to be on. is there a way you can get aftermarket driving lights and turn OFF the headlights during the day? |

There are no different bulbs for DRL and regular headlights AFIK. Taillights and all.

I had that feature in a '98 Olds Intrigue I used to own (a REAL lemmon!). Then, I got me a Maxima where the feature was optional. To be honest with you, I haven't checked out my '04.5 Touring Coupe to see if it has that option. I will definitely check it out tonight! Greetings from the Caribbean!
