Window problem, maybe...

A few days ago, after driving a few minutes, I noticed wind noise coming from my driver's window, so I rolled up and it inched up and sealed...I thought nothing of it, and thought maybe somehow I rolled the window down and didn't pull up all the way...then it happened again later at another time, and same situation...so I thought maybe I didn't pull it up all the way AGAIN...then I started wondering if there was a problem with it...

then this morning, I got in my car, went to Starbux and got my "Iced, venti, quad, 2.5 pump hazelnut, soy latte in a double cup", and when I left, I noticed it again...I had stopped by McDonalds before that, and actually went inside (instead of drive-thru) and got me a sausage-egg-cheese biscuit and a sausage-egg mcmuffin, but I don't remember rolling my windows down other than when I first left my house...but I rolled both windows down, and pulled them up and allowed the one-touch up to pull them up instead of holding onto the switches...everytime I noticed the problem, I'd pull the passenger window too to see if it was affecting the other side, but it was only on the driver's side...

anyone else having this problem???

When you open and shut your door, is the auto-seal function (made up that term, btw) working? Meaning, is it going up and down about a centimeter as you open and shut the door? If the auto-seal is working when you open, but not when closing the door, that could be your problem.

I'd take mine to the dealer if that function was causing problems.

Re-set your windows. It's in the manual. They go wonky every once in awhile..

I thought that may be it too...so I'd open the door, and when I closed, it went up....but I think that still may be the problem because the distance the window was down seems to be about the same as when it auto-seals

I guess it's an old bug Nissan's failed to address. I had to get a new driver's side power window motor for my '04.5 Touring Coupe early this year ($161.00). The passenger's side one's acting up, too! So, time to dole out more moolah to Advance Auto parts! Rats!

Turn the car to the on position, but not running, hold the windows control to the up position for 7+ seconds, should reset the position for the windows.

haha, thanks. I really needed that. I installed my new headunit and it reset all the electronics. My window would go down an inch but did not automatically raise it back up. Was about to send it to the dealership. :tiphat:

same problem. how to reset?

....Turn the car to the on position, but not running??????/??? how?

^Press the start button briefly without holding it down, it will go to "acc" mode.

Press it again without holding it down, it will go to "on".

Think old school iginition switches and the first two settings before "start".
