Probably the 7AT, but street racing is stupid and you should always obey all posted speed limits.

In an all-else-being-equal situation, the AT will come out ahead. But not by enough to choose AT over MT if you prefer to DIY.

But things are seldom equal in a race.

The 7AT will be just a tad quicker.

But my money will be on that Ford Crown Victoria with its flashy lights and stuff.

7AT beats 6MT. simple as that.

better gearing, better shift times, and pretty impossible to mess up unless you just forget to upshift.

or it could be one of those new Dodge Chargers with the silver thingamajig hooked up to the engine to make it faster with all the pretty freedom colored lights

Red, white and blue... stand for "freedom" until they're flashing in your back window

I don't know about you guys, but my thumbs get pretty sore button mashing upshift and downshift on the controller. So I think automatic is preferable, and I get better times in Gran Turismo that way.

Maybe they are like the Fiesta ST's? lmao... modded ford focus police cars... lol..
I still think that the Saudi Arabia $7.6 million dollar police fleet is still the example that should be set for cracking down on street racing and being able to have an effective police force while in a car chase of some sort just cause they can catch almost anyone no problem.

I don't know if the American Police can actually handle that kind of responsibility though.
