Quick Question: Fairlady -vs- 370Z
Why do some cars show one thing on the rear and others show another thing...(refer to subject)?
|
in Japan their known as Fairlady and every other place it's 370Z. you might see some Fairlady emblems on US models but that will be, majority of the time, a replacement emblem
oh, another thing. a real Fairlady Z will be right hand drive |
If you read wiki, they tell the whole story of the CEO and how he saw the my fair lady movie and thought the car should be named after that, but someone told him it wouldnt sell well in america with that name, blah blah blah.

Not new to badging...with my Acura and knowing a bunch of RSX peeps, there are a lot of people removing the "A" and putting on the red "H". |

Oddly enough, it seems to be the Americans who "demand" a name on their cars while Europe is content with numbers and letters. LOL |

Dang ! I'm probably wrong but you're not the guy who traded in his RSX, are you?
|
No, I'm the guy who traded in his c6 vette.

Too many names (nicks) and too many views and as an old man ( sigh... ) figures I'd screw up. So, Vette --> Z. You must be un-American! (J/K) |

The Vette, though, in another discussion. It has an incredible history. While I always loved the style of the car, didn't learn what the Vette was till I went to the museum (in Bowling Green, KY) this year. Sad to hear that a car with such a history has been such a letdown in quality. Then, again, maybe that's the same reason I've been a "tuner" for many many years. |

just think of it as:
RSX = Integra in japan 370z = Fairlady in japan |
