Wrong vin for model?

i was looking at this 2011 370z touring. The guy said that the vin number shows up as a nismo instead of touring. Is it possible? Wouldn't that affect the

The guy said that the vin number shows up as a nismo instead of touring. Is it possible? Wouldn't that affect the car insurance and I have to go through the dmv to change it?. Thanks!
