Sweet Jesus No...
Yeah, another "next Z" thread. Just saw this article and had to run to my support group here...
If there's any truth to this article, I will fly to Japan and put burning dog poo in a bag on Nissan's front steps. The Juke Was No Fluke: Next Nissan Z Car Will Be A Crossover |
I kinda hope this isn't true...
|
Enough of the speculation. We have a forum member who knows exactly what it would look like but will not disclose because he swore to oath.
|
"Burning dog poop?" Lmbo....hey if it is what they say our models will be very sought after!
|
Well good game guys it's over... F**k this (puts gun to head)

No, no, no, no no, NEVER!

I hate articles like this, it's just to grab attention and has no basis in reality.
Juke = Crossover = Successful Z = Crossover = Successful Next Z will be a crossover. It makes about as much sense as saying people like making/saving money, all new cars will come with variable message signs to run advertising. |
I couldn't imagine Nissan doing this because they've stayed true the the Z's heritage as being a sports car. I could see it being a hybrid of some kind, which if they did it right, wouldn't be a bad thing, but to do it right would make it expensive.

i still see more suv's and hatchbacks. |

I can see them building this car, but badging it as a z is just ridiculous. Nissan will lose a ton of enthusiast credibility.
|
*smh* No guys, this is NOT happening. Different car segments, different cars.

Honestly if I was looking for a practical DD and wasn't too concerned with performance, I'd be checking them out. My sister has a CX-5, and it's pretty nice. |
itīs more likely that the Z34 is the last Z than that this will happen, IMHO
|
Yuk !!

Im with some of the other guys on this. Not a chance of this being the next Z. Theres no way that Nissan will stop selling the Z as a sports car.
|
Here a concept of that I guess... http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...79161af944.jpg

I agree... If Nissan does that then the Z will completely lose its attributes in every possible way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

All I can say is that I am happy that I have the OG version then, literally OG lol
2009 haha, first year of the VQ37 and first year for the new body style of the Z. If they end up changing the Z to what they are thinking then the newer Z's will die and not be popular at all and enthusiasts will lose all interest, but all of us that end up having to part with our OG Z's in the coming years, they will definitely be worth more than they were before lol. No one who actually wants a legit 370z will not want to buy one of the new ones listed for about 35-40k, but that means we are able to ask more for our original Z's cause its either they pay us for what they want or they can go spend more on a new one they don't want. Supply and Demand *BANHAMMER SLAM* If they do screw it, we will whomp on some new Z's that people think are cool and fast as hell lol, bring em on! Similar situation right now..... Kinda like how there is a thread right now to bring back the Tommy Kaira Hebi Babi knobs' but now they will be made with Polished Titanium which will weigh about a 1/5 to 2/3 the weight of the original Hebi Babi knob like I have; which is made of brass steel and weighs almost 1.5lbs itself. I do not know if the vendor will be Tommy Kaira or not because of the material change and the fact that I do not believe that Tommy Kaira will ever come back to make the original Hebi Babi Shift knobs. From what I understand with the new shift knobs they won't be called the Hebi Babi or relate to anything like that. If the vendor is different idk if they will hold the Tommy Kaira name either. If they produce the new ones, they will be expensive yeah cause it is a collector's name brand, but mine will become even more valuable that it was when they didn't exist anymore |

Yeah right! Nissan will never do this to the heritage of the Z. This article is just bullcrap. AND if true, then awesome because the value of our current Zs are going to go UP!
|
Stupid article actually. Pure conjecture meant to fill the internet with bad information and strike emotions.
|
yea what's scary is that our internal rag had about 5 separate links to this same story. Guess we'll see next month.:shakes head:

Looks like the Nissan Extrem out of Brazil... They call it a "car" in the video. It's a good looking vehicle but a Z car it is not.

This mother(&*%&*&)&_ bull(^&(&*&)*&*+

I'd like to see Nissan incorporate NISMO into what M is BMW, AMG for Mercedes, etc. make it really special. If a base Z35 has 400 hp the NISMO has 520. Albeit it more expensive but there's buyers for that.
