So I come out to my locked garage, and mysteriously the vanity lights are on. How did this happen? Could the fob have accidently caused this? .......

Thing is it's not possible to leave it on all day or night. The car auto shuts it so the bat doesn't die out.

It's probably haunted because of all those haunted cave adventures you went on.
