Fastest from top to bottom "Average" quarter mile times (2015
charger SRT8 12.4 sec challenger R/T scat pack 12.9 sec SS 1LE 12.9 sec 5.0 13.2 sec 370Z 13.3 sec STI 13.3 sec EVO 13.7 Genesis 14.4 Now these are just average. With a better driver, you can get down lower. With a stock base sport Z, there has been a few who have got down to 12.8-13 seconds. However, that is just internet proof. This is just showing you an average, not accurate result of where we stand. There is a new evo coming out a final edition that will be pretty quick, and if I remember correctly, hyundai was planning something with the genesis. Sooner or later, the Z will be on the bottom of the list. |

Was the reason I put they are not accurate numbers but close enough for you all to judge and confirm that we are still doing ok but not the best obviously as stated before by everyone |

Not knocking on Nismos because obviously Zs are not menat for drag times completely. Here is a post by Cars and drivers
Well, for one thing, the automatic is quicker. By our measure, the 370Z NISMO automatic shot to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and passed the quarter-mile mark in 13.6 at 106 mph, 0.3- and 0.1-second quicker than the last manual-equipped370Z NISMO*we tested. We still haven’t been able to match what appears to have been a particularly quick,*non-NISMO 370Z automaticwe tested a few years back (and not for lack of trying). Even with 332 horsepower, that car hit 60 in 4.6 seconds and powered through the quarter in 13.1 seconds at 108 mph. Depends on the driver and your intentions of the car. I believe the less weight of the base is the reason |

Not that the 370 isn't quicker than a 3.8 Genesis. It is. Owned both. It's just not over a second quicker in the 1/4. I miss my 370. Sometimes. When the weather is great and the roads clear, miss my track days, rowing my own gears. But it was so few and far between. The current Z is quick, handles like a dream. Yea we all want more power and speed, me included. Someone a while back said in a rebuttal about more power speed etc in reference to the 86 twins that it's "not deal breaking slow". Which IMO, the Twins are. That being said to keep up with the pack a true Z car is a cheap Porsche fighter. It's gonna need mega weight savings or a mega power bump.

This thread make no sense, if you want to drag a 370z do it because that is what you want to do, but you are not going to beat muscle cars bone stock or even juiced horse power to horsepower. And for all the rest of the comparisons just look at were the Z competes in road racing at the highest level. It plays up, not down in the same classes as many of the cars mentioned that are three or four times the price or more. Hell it competes with 911s and Z28s and beats them!!!

I don't see how anyone can call the 370Z "slow" in any event - 0-60 in 4.8 and 13.4 @ 105.6 stock. Add a CAI and catback plus a tune and you could be looking at 13 flat or high 12s.
