Buying it is one thing, actually racing it on a track like it's meant to be is another....and I'm willing to bet that most people that buy that type of car will rarely ever see track time unless they're betting on a horse

I TT mine and still get my a$$ waxed by some few stangs and what not...but there is always someone faster and better. Really, for all the things you can do with a Z compared to other imports your are way ahead, performance and power per dollar.

As far as I can tell, all the cars that are faster than the Z (and in the same price range) don't handle near as well. If you want a straight-line drag car, buy one of the hyper-horsepowered Challenger/Mustang/Camaros. If you want a car that can carve a corner (and still do a respectable job in the quarter), get a Z. YMMV

The z34 wasn't designed for 0-60 time or straights. It was built for tracks and circuits. I've come to terms with the car not being "fast" a month after I took her home from the dealership. She's quick and can take a corner very aggressively. Are there other cars faster than the z? well yeah but try taking them into a corner with the Z and watch the Z overtake and pull away.

Unless you count the over-heating oil, boiling brake fluid, and fuel starvation... YES, it is READY for the racetrack.

People seem to want to compare the 370Z (Roadster) to the Porsche Boxter
Really??? 370Z vs. Boxster 4 cylinder What do you think (know) would happen in a real test vs the Porsche?? ![]()
