Terrible waiting experience ordering FI exhaust through private party

Ordered FI exhaust through private party on z page on Facebook. Paid on the 17th of July and I have yet to receive tracking info or the package itself.

Went through some bumps, a week went by while exhaust was at repair shop to repair a hole. Never got done so I just had him ship it. Finally claimed to have shipped this past Tuesday but have yet to receive tracking despite numerous replied saying he will get it to me. Coming from Tennessee to Maryland. I expected it to have arrived today. Tomorrow is the last day it should take to arrive 3 states away. If it doesn't come tomorrow I'm filing this claim and giving up.

Just needed to vent. Seller can't claim to be busy all this time for the delay, especially when you owe me a product that I paid a thousand bucks for.

Im sorry to hear about your troubles here my friend..
Its never good to feel like that and have a rip off occur. I hope that the package does show up at your door tomorrow just so you don't have to go through the whole claim process.

How did you pay him? Hopefully Paypal so it is easies to get your money back
I would suggest buying items from members off of the forums here. Most of the time other members will help weed out scams and admins also help with that. Thanks Trips and AK!

I know there are plenty of FI exhaust systems that go for sale on this forum.

Yeah PayPal so I'm not too worried. I just hate waiting this time expecting it but not getting it. It was a great deal I seen on the group. And people had vouched on his rep. I just hope t arrives tmr. In 3 days time I have had many stuff travel to west coast in that time span.

Well its good that you went paypal. and hmph maybe he is really busy like he is saying. I know that I myself have worked in the past almost 3 weeks if tomorrow is the same as the rest and I know Saturday will be too; that means in the last 3 weeks I've worked close to 230hrs. lol. that's about 85 hrs a week
How many days has it been since you paid for the exhaust?

Idk if I should blast his name yet. I paid July 17 or 18. It's coming close to 3 weeks. And I get a lot of promises or it getting shipped or getting picked up from the shop that always seems to be delayed. I just wish I had tracking as he told me he shipped it Tuesday and his wife was going to upload PayPal with number to track and I ask everyday and it never comes up or I never get it.

Lol usually on these forums you either get pm'd the tracking number or you have the other forum members phone number and they text it to you. Getting a tracking number through paypal is just lol.... its easier to give it to whichever way he has been contacting you.

Sounds more like a bust at this point, especially if he says they are at the shop getting fixed?... lol and that he keeps "getting delayed" lol
I'd rather take that 1k back that you sent him and put $350 more in and get a brand new exhaust system from FI

Paid $1000 for 18 resonator with carbon fiber muffler. Under 1k miles on system. Great deal. I WAS excited.

Sad to say my friend I learned early in Life that if it seems too good to be true then it is.

If someone from these forums had a full FI exhaust system cf cannons18" res w/ under 1k miles
That system on these forums would list for sale $1,300-$1,500 since there is almost no waiting time compared to brand new from FI and on top of it everything here is mostly OBO so at that point there is some offer room . I know brand new these systems are 1,500+ including shipping.

the non cf version can be gotten for $1,100-1,300

He was going turbo so he was going 3 inch exhaust. He was selling his lth also for same price and they had ceramic option. And apparantly he sold his stillen supercharger already.

Well I would probably suggest getting your money back and telling him to forget the sale. It would be better to try and go through more of a trusted source say for instance these forums in the parts for sale section.

Hopefully it shows up tomorrow though
