AeroJacket - Anyone have trouble with them?

Anyone ever have issues with AeroJacket?

In addition to others being upset about refunds on their V2 side blades post... I'm upset about my recent purchase, and I'm not sure I want to purchase anything else from them.

You can read about it here: http://www.the370z.com/body-interior...ml#post3278301

When a vendor lacks, the 370z forum should know about it, so I felt obligated to share and seek more information because if they are doing bad business, it might save someone from having a bad experience.

I'm very interested about this. I had an amazing interaction with AeroJacket, knew I wanted the diffuser, sent me a metric ton of pics installed, was good with pricing, asked about side blades and ordered both and got a deal since I ordered multiple items. Wasn't there for install but my body shop said the install hardware wasn't installed but at most that was my only issue, fitment is minty.

I agree. Everything up till my side blades arrived damaged was AMAZING. The sale, the info before the sale, the attentiveness to my questions, etc, I couldn't ask for more.

The problem is, I was promised a new set would be sent "right away". It took almost 2 months to get replacements, and they were the same damaged blades, just refinished. I'd be ok with that if they looked the same, but you can just tell it was refinished. The crack that was on the one blade still shows evidence it was there. The ends don't look right. Hell, compare one blade to the other and they don't have the same finish/look.

I thought it was just me... till I went on the post and noticed others were having problems too. Then I got scared...

Now I just want to know if there are others that have had problems recently and no one knows about it yet.

You tried calling them and expressing your not agreeable with the refurbished side blades?

Op,

I've sent AeroJacket a PM.

AeroJacket 08-06-2015 10:22 PM

We didn't repair and give your old ones back to you, because we fix it into full fiberglass and sold the old ones as full fiberglass to a local guy for less $$.

We had many order before you also,so we have to get other peoples orders out also, before yours.

By us replacing your damage ones with no questions ask.And we dealing with UPS damage after is that not good? If UPS is ever going to pay us the most we are going to get back is $100

When Carbon fiber is hand lay there can be movement in the weave.
If you get fake carbon then maybe it will look perfect .

Once you install it, tell us how much of that black you are going to see

After you install it we're pretty sure it will look every nice on your Z

If you do not like it,we are more then happy to send you a return label and $$ back back.:tiphat:

This looks like a patch on the underside, exactly over the crack that was in the other side, exactly where it was on the 1st blade I was sent.

I only know what I can see and what I've experienced. I know what the 1st set looked like and this one just looks fixed.

I know how long it took the 1st ones to arrive, and I know how long it took to get these back.

All I can do is put 2&2 together... Maybe you have a problem with you mold in that exact spot that caused many sets to turn out this way? Maybe the finish on these just happen to look different than the first set? But my gut is telling me different.

If it's just me, then you've got nothing to worry about. Maybe everyone else's stuff is perfect and I'm just the unlucky one... And that's ok, because I'm putting these blades on and rolling with it!

One thing I will address in this reply:

If you had other orders to fill, why didn't you tell me this from the start? I had to PM you week after week about when they were being shipped. You're first response was, "right away". Turned into 2 months of me worrying and bugging you via PM's till I finally got a tracking number.

Very hard to see due to gloss but it's exactly where the crack was before... It's still there kinda just fixed. Not a bad fix job because from a distance you'd have a hard time seeing it.

If you're moving, it's much easier to spot the "ripple" in the gloss. Once you see that it's easy to find.

Look spray painted black almost. Very strange.

Here is how laying 2x2 weave carbon works.

2x2 weave is very Sensitive.
If the weave move and we don't cover the back side with black or patch you are going to see right threw. And it will look like there are holes.
Because we only lay 1 layer of carbon on the top side.No point of layer 2 layer of carbon.

The black area" when pulling out from the mold,it has to be hand cut when carbon is harden.
And the black out area is going to be under your car that you can not see.

If you think this set is not prefect? Just roll with it for now and we'll make another set and ship it to you and you pick the ones you want to keep

We have been here since 2009.Making nice parts for cheap right here in the U.S.
For the people that don't want or have the $$ to spend $5-6k.

What can we do if UPS damage a box? We get you new parts first to make customer happy

UPS don't always pay for damage!! But we take care of customer first.

Since 2009,so many forum member here has.
Order custom made parts that cost "us" $3-5k. And decide they want to sell there Z.

Order parts and received parts and call the credit card company and said they never got it.

Some member ask for free parts or sponsorship and when we can't give it to them, they start posting BS!

So many things go down here on the forum, that many forum sponsor don't post about.:p :p:p
