Trading the Z

2 Attachment(s)
Well, after 3 years of ownership I have decided to trade the Z. I have a 2010 370z sport that now has 105k miles on it. Its been a great car. No issues in all this time and I was not easy on her. I went all out with her and dont regret all the time and money. I have bought a used 2013 mustang gt with track pack and glass roof. It is a 6mt and has everything. Im hoping the mustang guys are as great as the z guys. I will be posting somethings for sale shortly so expect some good deals.

Good choice. I went the opposite way, I traded my Mustang for the Z. I like the Z, but I miss the Mustang. There's a great group of guys in the Carolina chapter of mustangforums.com.

105k miles..so no csc failure?

Jsolo 08-05-2015 05:17 PM

How's the downshifting in your mustang? I test drove a '15 GT and could not blip the revs high enough for a smooth downshift. Test drove a camaro 2ss and a few other cars. Had no issues downshifting.

Im curious too.

mike12002us 08-05-2015 08:45 PM

I never had 1 problem with the clutch other than the master cylinder going bad. The car was just about perfect for me.

I actually sold the hood. I will post up about things for sale soon.

funny thing is, my buddy has a z with 18k miles and put the csc heavy duty in and it just went out. guess i was lucky.

Hmm. I wonder if it was mode setting or maybe just the car...

Glad it's an isolated issue.

Sorry to hear you have to let her go, But thats understandable.

All the BEST on the NEW ride, And know your always Welcomed!

I went full circle, 370--13 5.0-- 370...

Youll be back lol

I love mustang but if i was to get another it would have to be a 15+
I see you got a 6mt. The chinese tranny is hit or miss junk... I recommend barton bracket, whiteline bushing, and diff fluids for start. Also no one knows to tune these cars like AED! Shaun is a genuis... Good luck. Its a hell of a car... I was one of the fastest all boltson in SVTP... If you have and ? Lmk

Watch for the clutch problem. The aforementioned "transmission problem" is stemmed from somewhere within the CSC hydraulic. I bought a new '12 BOSS 302 and from the getgo, the clutch pedal has an increasing effort as the engine speed increases; high effort is needed by around 5500 rpm and above. I never had it diagnosed since I sold it in less than 2 years (under 5k miles).

Otherwise, the engine is a gem; you will love the torque curve. Enjoy the car!

I can't wait to get something new, though, I'm getting rid of the MT desire. It's no fun when all you do is sit in traffic.

Gonna try to go the DCT / flappy-paddle-box route on whatever I get next. :D

Wish there were more DCT options out there though.

Hope you enjoy the stang. The 5.OH is a great motor

"Sometimes" I want this too lol

Duc_Z09 08-06-2015 03:11 PM

I was about to pull the trigger on a loaded '11 5.0 6MT when I tested the NISMO and it was all over. I love the 370 but miss having torque, which the 5.0 has in spades.

srbrubak 08-06-2015 03:21 PM

Wow, 105k miles on your 2010. I just turned 26k miles on my 2010. So far I only had a MAF sensor go bad at about 2k miles. Other than that, if has been trouble free.

mike12002us 08-06-2015 04:47 PM

ill post pics of it on Monday. This weekend is going to be busy trying to get everything off the car.

kenshin81 08-09-2015 12:58 PM

how much did they do trade in value?

mike12002us 08-10-2015 02:54 PM

I was given 16500 for trade. Not bad for 105k miles.

Here she is!!

Duc_Z09 08-10-2015 04:50 PM

Nice ride! Now get yourself over to americanmuscle.com and start shopping! A CAI and tuner is a good place to start, but you can literally build another Mustang with all the available aftermarket parts if you want.:driving:

Z-Girl 12 08-10-2015 07:33 PM

Love the color one of the best.
