Reading your post...sounds like the Z wasn't for you , your needs and what the Z provides are 2 different things.. Personally I could give a crap less how much I spend per mile..or what my insurance premium is..Im in my early 40's and it just doesn't matter to me. I drive what I drive because I want to, sounds like you forced yours and you justified getting rid of it because of costs...Kinda like buying a Mercedes S Class and asking the salesman how many miles to the gallon can I get after break in ??
I'm married with a kid going to college...don't need back seats and I drive it to work or my Honda Goldwing..depending on how I feel or the weather going on.

I have to agree with this statement. It is like some people complain about the Z or any other sport cars having too much interior noise and stiff suspension.

As far as maintenance/repair cost for the Z, it is quite reasonable comparing to the like of the M3's which I have personal experience with.

Agree also. Doing oil change on my Z compared to my Mazda 3 from before pretty much the same price give or take 10 bucks. And putting gas in every 4 days for each car was pretty much the same except for an extra 10 bucks for my Z. I always wanted a Z since I saw the 350 years ago when it was introduced and having a sports car that is less than 30 grand that I'll pay for mine is worth it.
