Well it depends on how well you take care of your car lol. It can last you 1 hour or last you 1 decade... 2 decades.. etc.
There is not really an average of how long a car lasts because it all depends... Hell you can blow an engine and replace that

My '85 300 ZX that I bought new had > 250,000 miles on it when I traded it in '94. I never had any significant mechanical problems with it. If the electronic dash hadn't been so expensive to replace, I probably would have kept it at least a few more years.
