...How empty was it?!

Pulled into the gas station this morning with zero lights left on the "gauge"

18.44 gallons in the tank :driving:

Maybe i should have gone to an earlier station.

:inoutroflpuke:

GaleForce 07-17-2015 08:41 AM

Ballsy!

JARblue 07-17-2015 08:54 AM

Nicely done. My record is 18.64 gallons. I hit zero dots all the time. It is very rare when I fill up less than 17.5 gallons.

You probably could have gotten at least another 10-15 miles out of it provided there were no right turns :icon17: :wtf2:

Exhaust 07-17-2015 10:02 AM

You should buy a lotto ticket.

DEpointfive0 07-17-2015 10:28 AM

I've filled over 19 gallons a few times. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...AD95769594.jpg

FPenvy 07-17-2015 10:29 AM

am I weird that I pretty much never have below 4 dots (1/4 tank)? lol

I never go below that if I can.

Nope, not weird. I'm the same.

****, does that mean we're both weird? :ughdance:

FairladyZ10PG 07-17-2015 11:19 AM

I got close to 18.6 once

I'd not do it again unless necessary lol

birdman71 07-17-2015 12:02 PM

Dude I wish I could pay $72.xx for 19 gallons worth of gas. I filled up about 17.3 just the other day and it cost me $85 bucks.

Gotta love Cali... lol I think I paid $4.69/gallon or something like that. And of course the day after I fill up all the prices dropped like $.10/gallon lol.

90 ST 07-17-2015 12:06 PM

I've run out a few times now, Fackin gauge not reading right!

That was in CA just a while ago.

The CA gas prices shot up because there is a "shortage" of resources to make gas and the Mobil refinery in Torrance closed now. Give it 2 weeks or so, it will go down again

DEpointfive0 07-17-2015 12:50 PM

Also, I fill at Shell and get 20 cents off every gallon

Uxi 07-17-2015 01:04 PM

Wow, I start get itchy at 2 dots and think I got got to 1 once... 16.384 gallons by my chart.

I'm going to have a new goal. Can I adjust when the triangle alarm shows up?

Yeah I know, I read about it, I actually live maybe 10 minutes from that refinery in Torrance as well. Closed due to the explosion that happened a couple weeks back. Still trying to fix things from what I was told from a friend of mine that works there.

Once the shortage stops the gas will go back down and once the refinery is back to working status it will drop again hopefully. Around Memorial Day I was reading about how if things went smoothly this summer (which it never does with gasoline) that gas was supposed to come down from the rough $4.00/gallon down to around $2.75-$3.00 by Labor Day in September. It'd be nice to see gas prices like that again haha

Lets get a drink if you're that close! Kill the sorrow of paying $5 for gas.

I think work buys gas for less now

kenchan 07-17-2015 02:03 PM

u know the title of this thread almost sounds like some blonde joke..

Uxi 07-17-2015 02:17 PM

Ca needs a couple more refineries. Especially if it's going to use a unique blend of gas.

Did you break the universe? I have never even come close to 19 and I always fill up a while after it says 0 miles left.

Uxi 07-17-2015 03:52 PM

That sounds like gas station ripping you off, man

LAVA 07-17-2015 04:08 PM

Take a 1 gallon gas can there and fill it up to the line. Then you'll see if the pumps are calibrated correctly

What most news media outlets fail to report is that $0.40 to $0.60 per gallon of the total cost in CA is due to the so called "Carbon Tax" that voters stupidly agreed to and was jammed down our throats by the Kleptocrats in Sacramento. Guess what ? There is no man made global warming and that money will go into the general fund to disappear like the rest of our tax dollars.
Keep in mind who is responsible for stealing your hard earned money at the next election and don't vote for that party.

Water shortage, gas prices are up, fires ---- heaven. I get great weather, diverse culture, beaches, mountains, friendly car people, Fast Intentions, and Specialty Z. It's a wash.

I couldn't agree more. Since moving from San Diego to Raleigh, NC I have saved a bunch in fuel, partially because it costs less, partially because there is nowhere to go. Car is stored 4 months/year, no local mountian drives, no cruising to the beach. And no Tony or Seb.

Yep, it's alllllllll "California tax" to me.

CA, one of the only states where you can ski, then deep sea fish on the same day. (My fat āss only does the latter)
