Yeah I know, I read about it, I actually live maybe 10 minutes from that refinery in Torrance as well. Closed due to the explosion that happened a couple weeks back. Still trying to fix things from what I was told from a friend of mine that works there.

Once the shortage stops the gas will go back down and once the refinery is back to working status it will drop again hopefully. Around Memorial Day I was reading about how if things went smoothly this summer (which it never does with gasoline) that gas was supposed to come down from the rough $4.00/gallon down to around $2.75-$3.00 by Labor Day in September. It'd be nice to see gas prices like that again haha

Lets get a drink if you're that close! Kill the sorrow of paying $5 for gas.

I think work buys gas for less now

Ca needs a couple more refineries. Especially if it's going to use a unique blend of gas.

Did you break the universe? I have never even come close to 19 and I always fill up a while after it says 0 miles left.

That sounds like gas station ripping you off, man

Take a 1 gallon gas can there and fill it up to the line. Then you'll see if the pumps are calibrated correctly

That was in CA just a while ago.

The CA gas prices shot up because there is a "shortage" of resources to make gas and the Mobil refinery in Torrance closed now. Give it 2 weeks or so, it will go down again

What most news media outlets fail to report is that $0.40 to $0.60 per gallon of the total cost in CA is due to the so called "Carbon Tax" that voters stupidly agreed to and was jammed down our throats by the Kleptocrats in Sacramento. Guess what ? There is no man made global warming and that money will go into the general fund to disappear like the rest of our tax dollars.
Keep in mind who is responsible for stealing your hard earned money at the next election and don't vote for that party.

Water shortage, gas prices are up, fires ---- heaven. I get great weather, diverse culture, beaches, mountains, friendly car people, Fast Intentions, and Specialty Z. It's a wash.
