Well I got my Z when I was 19, and I've had it for almost 2 years now, so here is a little of what to expect.

I've seen 2 reactions in general, and those being the very smug look "that kid shouldn't be driving that car, he didn't earn it"
or the more common, "Oh my god, that is your car, no way. awesome ride".

and yes as previously stated alot of cars will try to race, I say let them get the tickets.

OP, if this really is your first car, take a driving course ... or three. Learn how to handle this car on a closed course. And don't drive like a dick on public roads.

2nd Professional driving course for clarification, they go from 50-120 for what I've seen. Awesome investment.

WOW, you must have great parents.
I wouldn't say great. Buying a teenager a Z, especially a brand new one, is ******* idiocy. It'll get beat to **** in the high school parking lot and if he's lucky, he wont die in it.

This is really not a car for a teenager unless you are extraordinarily mature. Take the money and buy a Civic, tint the windows, get some custom wheels, a loud muffler, a killer sound system, and maybe throw on some underglows...you will be just as happy and get the attention of lots of teenage girls (or boys) and maybe live longer.

If you're smart, have your parents buy you a beater for high school and college and invest what they would have spent on a Z. When you graduate from college, go buy a 911.

That, but going from the tone of the original post where a he decided to ask for a brand new Z as ONE of his presents, I'm guessing he's not the type to work for his own stuff.

lol so I wasn't the only one that caught that ... the other presents should be his enrollment in a variety of driving courses
