Blue Z in Houston
Is there anyone on the forum here in Houston/Clear Lake area with a Monterrey blue Z? I saw one this weekend on the feeder road of 45 near Nasa Road 1. It was beautiful. I don't own one yet but have been thinking this might be my next car. Blue was looking very clean in person.
Also, saw a silver one sat night on west gray I think that sounded pretty good. Just wondering if any of you guys were on the forum. Nice rides  |
I have PG in Houston, others:
White - TX_370 PG - Wstar White - Steve Red - Tonmed123 There are a few others I have meet, a black one, another white owner, but I have yet to meet any blue or yellow owners. I did see my first blue a few weeks ago around Uptown. |
Saw a Blue at the Field Of Dreams (Baseball park just south of Clear Lake a while back), probably the same one. I'm starting to see more on the road lately, saw a white one and a black one going 45 south just recently and a couple of red ones on Hwy 3. Looks like Houston may be the hottest spot for 370Z sales?

The dealer off of 45 south had quite a few if I'm not mistaken. Pretty sure I saw at least one GTR as well.

Mossy I believe has a Nismo but it has been a week since I was there so it might be gone, dropped my sister off for her Murano.

Just looked. They've got a vert too! They are just outside my search range so I missed it before. |
I have a blue one but it couldn't have been me you saw. I haven't left the house in 4 days, stupid swine flu.

I live in Clear Lake and drive a white one. Ive seen the MB one, one time.
|
I have a MB, but I'm in NW Houston and I didn't go down to Clear Lake this past weekend...

I have a PG one with powdered black wheels.

that would be my dads blue Z in clear lake area he loves that car. we are finding out that nissan seems to be having problems with there paint. for instance the car got rained on and the next day he washed it there were water spots all over the hood and roof that will not come off and we are car guys so its not like we dont know how to clean them. we have tried everything to get them out but its not working. he is so pissed at nissan because the g37 i have has some of the best paint i have ever seen on a factory car.

ahhh that sucks about the paint but yes the 370z's paint does suck across the board, i saw a black 370 at UCHL and even left them a note to come on to the side...

but as far as water spots, that would mainly be due to the clear coat and wax....I claybarred mine and gave it zymol wax, and water would just bead up into larger and larger beads and they just fall off...when you claybar, if you think it's SO SMOOTH and think you've done a good job, here's the real test: grab a very thin piece of plastic (best thing to use is the plastic wrap from a pack of cigarette), place your fingers inside the plastic bag, and rub your fingers (through the plastic) on the surface you have just clayed, if it smoooth as hell, then you did a great job, if you can still feel the grains or micro bumps, then you didn't really do it that well... |
