"Driver's race" is far too common of an excuse. Yes, a driver's capability makes a significant difference, but how far do you want to take that? An automatic Accord or Camry will stay right next to a bogged and mis-shifted STi from a dig to about 70 MPH. Is that a "driver's race" too?

The SS has enough of an acceleration advantage over the Z to where the outcome would be clear with both drivers of the same competency level. In outright acceleration, as in from a 60 MPH roll, an SS should walk away from a Z. Their trap-speed advantage is evidence of that, on top of the huge discrepancy in 0-140+ acceleration.

I am in no way "taking sides" with the Camaro. I've obviously made a choice of the Z over the Camaro for many...I'm just not blinded by my own bias. I'm a realist.

The only thing better about the camaro is the engine. Everything else is better about the Z. The camaro engine fits perfectly in the Z.

I've noticed more new Camaro's than 370's around here!

However to get back on topic. I have seen a decent amount of SS's around me. I must say, they do sound pretty damn great. Actually compared to the V6 I have seen a lot more SS's running around.

And these specs tell me a competent driver in a 370Z on a road course will "crap all over" a Camaro SS:

You need to photoshop a horrible accident at the end of the thread direction arrow. That would be much more accurate.
