According to Subaru WRX fan. Someone at a Nissanracing event spoke with the creative pres guy for Nissan. He claims, the Z is going back to basics. Will be a BRZ competitor. And they want to make the car a unique car instead of a fast car.

I'm getting so sick of the stupid Nissan rumor mill that I want to sell mine and never look back purely on principle alone. Nissan is annoying. There rumor mill is so annoying to listen to. I done lost all interest in Nissans BS and all car companies that want to pussify there vehicles

The most annoying rumor mill in automotive history is the legacy of the Nissan Z. I don't even care anymore. We're nearly 2 years behind to receive a shytmobile like the BRZ?

The datsun 280z would be pretty comparable to the twins nowadays IMO.

I hear people make complaints about the Nissan rumor mills all the time and, honesty, it cracks me up. If they bother you, don't listen to them or read them. It's like folks who b!tch about what is on TV. If you don't like it, if it bothers you, if it causes you to lose sleep or seek professional counseling -- don't watch it.

Truly, it is quite simple.

All this talk and wasted energy about what the future Z may or may not be is a huge waste of time. Who cares about the next Z? Is it here now? No. Can any of us change it? No. Is it all just conjecture and meaningless fluff? Yes. Are dogs superior pets to cats? Yes.

Ah, don't worry about it. If you don't like the next one, Like I hated the 350z, just ignore them until a new model arrives. Who know what will happen. If we still had the 350z, I would still be driving something else.... LOL

I'm looking at general news and it popped up.... I didn't go looking specifically for Z news as it irritates me. But I've been waiting on release info because I have aspirations of purchasing. You'd understand why I'm tight if you're ever in "other vehicles section"?

Not anti current Z. Just tired of Nissan making disappointing cars and the Z being a BRZ competitor is bunk. For that? Just cancel the Z and bring it back when it grows balls again. We don't need a hardtop miata with a Z badge. Smh

this isn't just nissan though. every car company, actually any company with a huge fan base, will do this to create excitement. i bet there's a person in each major company (though this person wouldn't be publicly acknowledged by the company) to start wild-fire rumors to advertise, create excitement and awareness.

samsung and the galaxy phones (supposedly the galaxy 7 will come with a 30 MP camera?), apple and the iphones/iproducts, etc.

honda with the supposed return of the s2000, acura working on producing the nsx again, toyota with the supra, etc., etc.

bottom line: until the actual product is FOR SALE, everything is all speculation.
