this isn't just nissan though. every car company, actually any company with a huge fan base, will do this to create excitement. i bet there's a person in each major company (though this person wouldn't be publicly acknowledged by the company) to start wild-fire rumors to advertise, create excitement and awareness.
samsung and the galaxy phones (supposedly the galaxy 7 will come with a 30 MP camera?), apple and the iphones/iproducts, etc. honda with the supposed return of the s2000, acura working on producing the nsx again, toyota with the supra, etc., etc. bottom line: until the actual product is FOR SALE, everything is all speculation.

Nissan has been acting like pu$$ies about this. Rather than downsize and go after the BRZ/FRS and stay under 30k, they should have stuffed a big motor in a lighter vehicle and go after the Cayman GT4 for 35k.
