Leaving to Drive from Edmonton Alberta to Vegas Tomorrow :D

Any particular drives that you guys know of between vegas and the border? Here is a google map link with our proposed drive south, coming back we might take the interstates depending on how great the road is heading down. Looking for twisties as much as possible and have been told that this route is probably one of the better ones for that.

Any input? Hope the Z doesn't let me down :D

The Old Spiral Highway out of Lewiston. It is right off of Highway 95 at the top of the hill before you get to Lewiston ID. Here is a link to the thread ...

Old Spiral Highway, aka Old Lewiston Grade

On a side note, when you guys are doing long trips have you ever found a good app for planning ahead? I know back in the day I used microsoft streets I think it was called which worked well. I have about a gig of data to use in the US with my phone and I am not sure if running google maps the whole time will use that up

Have fun. I drove this when I went to school at WSU in Pullman. An incredible road. I hear it is patrolled rather well though so be careful.

The other option is to stop at the individual state visitor centers and pick up official state maps. Or you can get the 2016 Rand McNally Road Atlas. Works for the US. I am sure there is a road atlas for Canada.

do they still do that? i thought someone told me most visitor centers stopped doing that or something

i use to check-in at those places just to keep a log where ive been just in case i get lost or dissappear.
then they would know where to look. 'yes just maybe 10K square miles, we'll find him :ugh:'

jpkirk 06-01-2015 03:08 PM

Could be. I haven't checked in some time. I need to go on a long road trip.
