Anyone have any recommendations for a tire shop in Vegas while we are here. Figured it would be way cheaper to get it done while we are here. Thanks

I would hit the tirerack.com site, select delivery & installation, then search Las Vegas for recommended installers. These installers usually have machines that are designed to not scratch your wheels. Depends an aweful lot on if they know how to use them though. There are several recommended installers in the Vegas area.

It's not the exchange that beats you. It's everything else that's tacked on. (duties, taxes, shipping to Canada and brokerage fees) I essentially buy NOTHING much of anything up here, not even gas, unless I'm on a trip inside Canada. Even with the lousy Canadian dollar now I have anything and everything shipped to a WA state address. (shipping is really cheap to the lower 48 states) I drive down and pick it up myself and bring it back. I have done this for years. The savings are huge, but it wouldn't work given where you reside. I live less than 40 kms from the U.S./Canada border. I can be down and back home in under 2 hours. My most recent purchase was a pair of H&R spacers. I damn near gagged when I looked to see what I'd have to pay buying them up here. A few months ago I got a quote to supply and install Swifts, toe bolts and camber arms. The install price was as expected, but I could beat the parts side of the quote by half. And car parts aren't even all that outrageous. Parts for Harleys are out of this world if you buy them here. Deeley Canada has that all wrapped up. I could pay all the duties and taxes importing them and still save half of what it would cost me up here, provided I bought them from the right vendor in the U.S. 104 |

Got some put on at discount tire yesterday, got to drive the car into the shop and watch them work on it. Not a single scuff on the rim and in and out in 40 mins so it was great. Thanks again for the info guys.
Also had a wastegate line blow off today, hit 22psi of boost. lol. Whoops.

Very cool. No worries. Gotta live. And get used to that marriage thing. I've been at it for 22 years. It's still very cool. I hope my wife feels the same.

Wife and I took our Z from St. Louis, MO to Quebec City.
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/St+L...2826!5i1?hl=en My advice for long distance in the Z. Bring a butt pad. After a while the Z's seats will kill your ***. Soft cooler bag fits perfectly on the shelf behind the seats. Bring a can of good glass cleaner, microfiber, and paper towels for bug cleaning. We were getting 27+ MPG, so your range should be killer.
