Man, a bunch of tado about a ticket. When you get close to 15 points and on the verge of loosing your license. Then talk to me. Yeap, just a little bit crazier in my younger days...

Im sorry you have had bad run ins with the police. But you having no respect for someone you don't know, because of a few bad apples is very ignorant. There are over 700,000 police officers in the states. All of them must be bad right? Thats like saying, "I had this tech at Firestone tell me my battery was bad, but I just got it. He was trying to jack me around! All mechanics are all liars!". Me personally, every time I have been pulled over, I knew exactly why as soon as I saw the lights. I was in the wrong every single time. Most recently at ZDayZ. Other than that, I have never been harassed or lied on. I have never been treated badly. Quote:
I understood your analogy, however the severity of attention to detail in the situation you presented was very extreme in comparison to the speeding ticket. Which is why I went to the murder extreme. We are arguing the same thing lol. Yes, a defense attorney can get you off of a crime that you committed on a technicality. Which as you have pointed out, I find as "garbage". On a speeding ticket, no big deal. Im sure that officer gives not a flip at all if the ticket is dismissed or held. But in cases that are more severe, where someone was actually victimized, that gets under my skin. How has justice been served on something like that? Could you explain to the victim of a violent crime "Hey look, I know that guy did it, but because a minor mistake was made in the investigation, we are letting him go."

I go by how I've been treated.. If I get pulled over and the cop treats me fair.. I have no problem with that particular police officer.. But thanks to my personal experience.. Just seems like they can do whatever they want and screw people over without any repercussions.. I just can't support that. |

so it seems that the fairly consistent responses from cops in certain situations.
1) act like an arrogant douchebag leads to you getting nailed hard 2) show a little class and treat them like humans and you seem to get off with some leniancy is this the start of the end? is this where we turn into my350z run by some punk arse kids who was able to scrape together some money with bank of ma and pa to get you some new toy that you don't deserve? everyone has a bad experience now and then but here's the kicker. GET OVER YOURSELF! |

it's life. with some things you do you get caught and punished and with some nothing happens. when life gives you lemons, sell them and buy oranges. orange juice tastes better.

I've always been respectful.. To everyone not just cops.. The whole "treat others how you want to be treated" idea. But if the cop just has his panties in a bunch that day.. You're ******.. Also.. If for some reason you are an arrogant ***.. That doesn't give the cop the right to lie and write you up for something you didn't do.. |

1) OP admits to being ticketed for speeding on car forum, with picture of said car cited in ticket of topic neatly positioned next to his post. 2) OP admits to driving without a license. 3) OP admits to driving without proof of insurance. 4) OP admits to home address being correct on citation, which is likely where pictured vehicle is registered. 5) OP doesn't connect the dots that the cop found all of his information via his license plate number or other info ONLY. 6) OP criticizes LEO for misspelling information, yet struggles with basic punctuation, sentence structure, and hyphenates. The LEO did you a solid by police-googling your **** and not making it worse for you. It easily could have been much worse for you than it is. Pay your ****, learn your lesson, and move on with your life. You're 20 years old with a 370Z - with great power comes great responsibility. However, keep driving like a douchebag and driving up average cost of insurance for a 370Z for the rest of us and the e-lynching will be much worse on the next ticket you get.

However, let's *try* to sympathize with OP. Lets be real now, this car is hard not to speed in. I understand that we try to have fun every now and then outside of the track, whether it would be in the streets or the canyons. Now, I'm not saying I drive like a BMW driver in the streets but I don't blame OP for being a testosterone filled driver like the most of us (including me at the age of 21). Maybe he does lack a little bit of common sense at times, but don't we all? I'll tell you my story OP: I floored it on Hollywood Way in Burbank doing a fun 0-60 pull on an empty stretch. We all know the car is incredibly fun to pull from gears 1- halfway through 3. BPD pulled me over for going 50 in a 35 and understandibly so. Sure, he may have looked like an ******* at the time, but he was only doing his job. I definitely did not do 60 in a 35 , so he gave me a lucky break. Yes, there were some errors on his ticket, but it stood firm. Considering that he got the rest of your information right, you have no excuse. Same case with me. I paid the fine and decided to write a written declaration saying that I wasn't guilty and the officer may have paced me wrong... In your case, he got you on radar. Your best shot is to write a written dec and turn it in at the last possible date, you could extend the deadline by 30-60 more days iirc and you can go for that option as well. IF the officer doesn't reply to the declaration, because most of them (in my case) never want to deal with paperwork, you'll definitely get your case dismissed. As far as showing up in court option goes, I hear (this isn't fact, this is just what I've heard) officers don't get paid for their time to show up in court. So unless this guy has a justice boner against you, you should be fine. Just make sure to do it at the last moment possible. Don't speed in the streets man, I know its fun but you're making yourself look like a maniac to other peoples' eyes and not doing yourself a favor overall. Also, making Z drivers look like BMW drivers. My threeseventy cents. Oh, and yes I got my case dismissed and never sped again. Last edited by EndyKwon; 05-29-2015 at 03:40 PM. |
