Typical Nissan. They cheap out on base models in later years

people look for deals and most people don't like it when prices go up. if nissan kept all the features that it came with on the older models PLUS the new features on the newer models, chances are, prices would go up. for example, the pre-2012 models didn't come with a factory oil cooler, nor the LED lights on the front bumper, and other features that i am not aware of for the post 2012 models. equilibrium.

When the s14 240sx base model first came out it had tilt wheel, an indoor trunk and fuel release lever. In the 97-98 models they only came with a fuel release lever no trunk release lever and no tilt steering wheel.

okay, but what more didn't it come with compared to cars today? you cant compare present cars with 20 year old car in terms of technology.

Relax Tampax, all I'm saying is that Nissan tends to load up features in their cars in the beginning years of a car's life cycle and they cheap out towards the end, which makes complete sense. They do that to make the car more of an attractive value to up sales in the beginning to recover costs.

anyways, in what regards what do you mean "cheap out"? there are certain features the earlier models came with that the later models don't and vice versa, depending on the model, but just bc certain features aren't available doesn't mean it's been "cheaped out".
