Changed my 2010 order!

Went to the dealership to check on the 2010 models and my Carbon Silver coupe pre-order. While I was there I saw the 2010 Roadster in the Black Rose.... and knew that I had to change my order! The down side is, my Carbon Silver would have been here in a couple of weeks, the new colour choice has me bumped to the December build! January delivery! Oh well, it will be worth the wait. Too bad you can't get the wine colour seats in the coupe though.

you changed your order and ship date for a purple one? to each their own i suppose...

Time for a little honesty.... The car is actually going to be my wife's daily driver and it was her decision in the end. We have more than enough cars to drive in the meantime. I actually like the Black Rose better. The Carbon is just so.... common.

2008 Lincoln MKX
1996 Ford Contour
1991 Toyota MR2

soon to add: 2010 370Z

I didnt knock your decision, I just thought it was odd to opt out of having your car sooner for a purple color, which I guess would be perfect for the wifey.

Well, it IS the frozen north here, and the less winter driving the better. As for the delivery date, I am not in huge hurry. I would rather have her get the colour she likes than one she would regret later. She kept her last new car 16 years....
But yeah.... later is still a bummer!

Different strokes for different folks!Would be fine if he did opt for the purple color if it is what he wants. What ever makes you and the wife happy.
Just have to be patient and wait now.
Now the anticipation will be driving you crazy.Maybe you will be the first one in your area so that is worth the wait. Now just chill out and day dream...lol!

It will be okay (I keep telling myself!), we are going on vacation in November, then Christmas is here, then... voila! a new car!

I ordered it with the tinted windows, clear bra, remote starter/alarm, floor mats, winter alloys with Dunlop Graspics, and lighted door sills. All of those things need to be dealer installed before delivery too!

They have an optional clear bra?Obviously installed by an outside company? What did they charge for the bra?Are you sure it is a bra and not a coating?

The Clear Bra is a 3M product and it is being installed locally along with the window tinting. I am paying around $1300 for both. Not bad as I paid $1200 just for the Clear Bra on the Lincoln 2 years ago. The good news is, ANY dealer installed options/extras are covered under the manufacturers warranty!

Ummm...No they won't. Maybe the dealer will, but Nissan isn't going to warranty aftermarket parts that they don't endorse.....Fred the clear bra guy and Joe's Auto alarm company will not fall under a Manufacturers warranty...

Let me clarify, the dealer installed options will not void or affect the manufacturers warranty and will be serviced/maintained by my dealer. Sorry for the confusion.

Each to their own I say. The black cherry is a nice enough colour, but it shuold have been more like the old Midnight Purple Nissan colour from the 90's.

Ah! Ok then!

Love that Midnight Purple. The Black Rose is dark enough to be different in various lighting conditions making it a nice 'special' colour.

Wow. I just paid $700 for front end clear bra (bumper, headlights, partial fenders, mirrors) AND tint. What is the extra $600 getting you?

Did you just get a basic tint or did you get a ceramic type tint, which attempts to reflect heat in a certain manner.

Very nice. Congrats. I haven't seen the Black Cherry in person but I was told it's beautiful. I'd drive it! Congrats.

Don't forget that I am in Canada and EVERYTHING costs more even though our dollars are almost even these days. I paid $53,300 for the car and I am sure it would cost at least $10,000 less in the states

Coupe pictures in "Maroon" from Japan

Hope this works! I just found these shots on the Japanese site for the 2010. The Cdn colour is a lot darker and a bit more brown too. Nicer than this by far.

I asked for a premium quality tint, but I am not sure if it is a ceramic or metallized tint. I would assume so as they are the premium tinting company in the area and specialize in high end tinting. I will have to ask now!....

LOL:rofl2: !!! The funny thing is, I am actually going to be in Ft. Lauderdale in November! Oh well. I would LOVE to drive down there though. BTW, I ordered the coupe, not the roadster. That is why I have to wait......
