Attended my first Zdayz this past weekend. For anyone who hasn't been there yet or was thinking about going...just go, you'll be glad you did. I'm sure that the organizers probably don't get thanked enough but it was a well run event with lots going on. Bringing in Chris Forsberg was pretty impressive and if there is anyone on this forum who is part of the team that organizes this event - thanks for a job well done. Of course, it's the people that make the event great, I'll be coming back as well. To anyone who hasn't been on the Tail of the Dragon...put it on your bucket list.

Yeah a good idea I haven't met some of you guys and this was my 3rd rendition to Zday.

There is so much going on and so many people it gets difficult to try to find time and meet up with everyone. I'll try to remember to try and get a meetup topic going a few weeks ahead of next year's event.

12th for me! One of only about 5 or 6 OGs left that have made every one of them. First one was about 50 people inspired by a group meet on my350z.com

Agreed. We need to have a forum meet next year. We can wear our user names on our shirts in the format of "Hello, my name is _____" lol.

Come to think about it, that may be a pretty cool "event" for ZdayZ. Have some boxing gloves handy to settle some of our differences, talk ish in person, etc.

That's actually a great idea. Obviously , there's a lot of other generations of z's that are there but I saw more z34s then any other z and having a forum page makes it much easier to meet up especially during z1's happy hour.

Have they posted next year's dates yet?

May 19-21 next year. I booked my lodge room again for the 15th-22nd.

we are booked into our regular cabin across from the rec hall.

I'm definitely going again next year. It was the most fun I've had with my clothes on

Yeah defiantly going to spend more time there next time. Might even go early and do some nature stuff. The area is beautiful.

Regret not meeting you this time around, Frank. I saw your car lined up for the exhaust competition, but didn't see anyone around when we walked by. Your Z was as loud as I thought it would be! :tup:

Definitely agree with a forum meet up next year. There were so many people that it was hard to wade through and meet everyone.

An idea I had when I was there last week was that it might be cool for the different clubs to bring their t-shirts and exchange them with members from other clubs. They would be great souvenirs and would mean more than buying one at a store. Anyway, just a thought.

I was up at the first car giving my friend steve advice. he was nervous being car #1 and never doing the comp before. plus the Z1 race car was lining up and I wanted a good video lol

There will be no beef in person since we are not hiding behind computer screens. Maybe we can bring our computers and have one big LAN argument party. :p

At ZDayZ even the nastiest of online arguments usually turn into some level of manlove.

Pork then ... how about porking?

There was lots of pork at the MAZOC cabin this year.

I had 245 pounds of pork on a grill last weekend. That's a lot 'o' pork.

We roasted a 45lb pig on Monday! Mmmm.

So when can I call to make reservations?

Should be two weeks from the end of this year's ZDayZ. You'll want to call right away to make sure you snag a room.

I also recommend coming in early. Wednesday at the very latest.

I believe this coming Monday would be the opening of regular reservations but it's a holiday so Tuesday

Definitely planning for most of the week. Probably leave the weekend before and arrive Monday or Tuesday.

Late to this..

but yeah already booked all 3 cabins of mine for Wed to Sunday. Reserved a alodge for Sunday to Tuesday. Set and can't wait.

We have the grill covered. We can do a combined dinner / lunch for the Mazoc group + your group.
