Dont get it sorry, so now they will also smash glass and straighten wheels via steering wheel before steeling rims.

Move on. Look at it as an opportunity to upgrade. No sense dwelling on it with anger or whatever. Who ever did this will pay at some point in their lifetime.

The price parts will be lower than my deductible. I've done the door glass twice on my G35c so that's not going to be a big deal.

The plastic trim that I do need I'll pick on Ebay.

I like to do my own repairs when possible so I know its done correctly. I've had work at the Infiniti dealership when I had my G35c that was unacceptable.

What part of MD did this happen?:shakes head:

They have to start the car to straighten the wheels.

LAVA 05-16-2015 10:16 AM

Sucks...time for a garage

Wasn't aware of that. I could have sworn my steering wheel turns wheels when car is turned off. But who knows.

That sucks!

Blk_Z34 05-16-2015 09:55 PM

Sorry to hear that... I know that really sucks. I had my IS350 broken into a few years ago - lots of parts were taken.

Leroydsouza 05-17-2015 12:23 AM

I felt the pain through the pictures.
So sorry that this even happens. Such scums

Largo/Upper Marlboro area.
Police said there has been an increase in car break-ins and stolen wheels.

As you can see from the photos I recessed my radio and purchased a dummy cheapo radio face online. I was going the tear up my stock radio to make a dummy face, but I did a search and amazingly found out that they sell dummy radio faces. It cost less than $15 shipped from China. I had to modify the radio cage in order to slide the radio back to accommodate the false face.

I need to tidy it up when I have some time and it cools off outside, but it serves the purpose for now.

loled at dummy doubledin cover. :rofl2:

sad u need all that though. my dd has a doubledin and just left outside.

Nader Og 06-23-2015 02:13 PM

Glad to see it back to normal, i hope you arn't mentally scarred.

370Ztune 06-23-2015 03:27 PM

Glad to see you got everything fixed. Hope Karma is instant for the people who did that.

jshare1 06-23-2015 04:59 PM

My wife had been working up in Largo, slight transition from Gambrills for sure.

I used that same fake double din cover on my last car. It took some modification (removed the suction cup stuff and lined the entire back with felt to keep from scratching up the screen, and some dremeling to make it sit right), but it worked like a charm.

I never thought about recessing the h/u to use the same cover on the 370.
Awesome idea.

Akurei 06-24-2015 10:06 AM

Looks like they were trying to steal your car, but I wouldnt doubt they were dumb enough to be just looking for the wheel lock key

Uxi 06-24-2015 12:22 PM

Aren't most wheel locks retarded, though? Just hammer on a socket...

Glad you got it back together. I would definitely put a screen where that pocket is.

cranzy 06-24-2015 01:02 PM

I'm sorry man. This can be very frustrating. I was finding glass pieces for years in my previous car.

p.s. I removed my wheel locks not long ago... I dare anyone touch my car :shakes head:

Birdfan67 06-24-2015 04:00 PM

Thank God for a garage.... and home security system !

Scary Situation

I went to a old watering hole the other week because I heard from someone else that some old high school alumni were going to be there, well the small lot was pretty full so I parked across the street at a bank to be out of anybodies way. I was in there 10min. came out to my car and called a buddy to see what and where he was, all of a sudden a big land rover pulls up partially blocking me in and 2 dudes start to get out. I’m like hold on {cell phone} started the car and they took off. I’m not going back to that area with this car again.

Sorry to "Hear"?

Are we sorry to "HEAR" what happened, or sorry that this has happened to our friend?? Sorry to "hear" seems like I wish you had not told me.

lgarcia 06-26-2015 07:48 PM

not a good morning by far, sorry about that, I hope you get it put together soon!

Nismodean 06-27-2015 09:53 AM

I would much rather spend .25 cents on a bullet than a grand for repairs. People like that should have their breathing card revoked. They have no positive purpose in life.
