I think the ONLY comparable car in its class on the market is the 3.8 Gen Coupe. 350hp 300 tq, RWD, back "seats" only an infant can fit in. Having owned both, the 370 is a FAR better sports car than the GC. Base 3.8 GC starts at like $27k. I got mine fully loaded with more bells and whistles Nissan can shake a stick it for $34K OTD. It's a HELL of powerful, relatively nimble "sports" car but a much better touring car.

The M1 / IPM1 version weighs 60 tons -- 120,000 pounds

That means 60 lb/hp ratio -- not so good compared to a 370Z.

This is on point. The Z isn't the most powerful, but I cannot imagine driving a Ford even if it's a little faster.

Yeah but the M1 has two guns whereas the Z has none. Did I also mention that the tank is a tank?

I have always disliked these kind of posts because they only look at HP without consideration of target market or marketing. All those cars listed in the OP have a back seat and provide much more practicality than the Z. You can get more groceries, more kids, more chicks, and more passengers when you UBER in all those cars. That is just as big a selling point to the average customer as the HP. The Z provides very utility in comparison.

If someone is cross shopping that list and lets say the Z had as much HP as those mentioned if they have 2-3 kids the backseats will most really sway their decision.

Also as mentioned when the Z came out it's HP wasn't a crisis. It was designed to target the Cayman at the time.

There is no crisis the Z is a niche car and Nissan expects niche sales. This same kind of thinking comes from those that think Nissan should market said niche car with as many commercials as they give the Maxima and Altima. Now point me to the numbers that show how many manufacturers go on a full media blitz for their 2 door 2 seat sports cars. I have never seen tons of Chevy Corvette or Mazda Miata commercials.

If the Z worked for you when you bought it, and it works for you now - keep it and drive happy. If you prefer the Ford get one. Nissan only has to please Nissan owners.

But who cares about hp/weight ratio when I can just run over any street vehicle? Even if they try to run, I have a 105 mm L/52 M68 rifled gun (55 rounds) or 120 mm L/44 M256A1 smoothbore gun (40 or 42 rounds) depending on the tank model. Bye bye either way

Although ... if I actually had one, I would probably be in a lot of trouble very quickly. Maybe it's better that I don't lol
