Hard shocks
Friends ,
I have a 2013 370z , the shocks for it are very hard and when ever i am on a bumpy road i feel like i am driving a cheap car with spoiled shocks. Also my tires seem to slip when they hit a hole or something on the road. Please help me understand whats the best tires and shocks to get.... |

Is this your first sports car?
Edit: How many miles do you have on your Z?

That's just how sports cars are.... Unless they left the shipping spacers in the shocks.

Shocks are probably fine, the alignment sounds a bit off if you're having the tires slip when you hit a bump.

I would guess IF the Op has had this issue from day one other than the possible shipping spacers? Thats just normal ride and might be a little more sensitive to the sports car type ride. |

Def sounds more alignment like. I find the Z to be far more comfortable than my Civic which is basically a Corolla at this point in terms of comfort.
Could the shipping spacers still be in it? Basically blue hockey pucks if I remember correctly.

Are you accelerating with the traction off going over pot holes? I noticed a slip over bumps and crack with the stock tires when they were on their last legs.

No,no,no. To the rest of the country, the OP is from Illinois. As am I. Our roads - like our State's budget are so bad that no tire brand or size, alignment, or model of car is a factor in road feel.

First thing I noticed on mine when I bought her, the back end skittled/jumped over bumps if I made a quick sharp left right manoever. Didnt worry me. You think the suspension on the Z is stiff? Try a Mazdaspeed 3, its like driving with no tires.

Funny -- everyone says that about their own state's roads.

Remove rear sway bar. This will let the suspension have their own independent....balance?....rather than shared or connected.
You will notice while one tire slips the other will grab w/o bar, rather than one tire slips and due to the bar messes up the grip of the other, although the bar is good for good smooth roads. Try it. Maybe you will like or not. Edit :correction sway bar.
