yep, when i bought my Z i thought (and still think today) this will be the last sports car from japan that will have the correct tranny (MT).

one thing i hate to hear from people when they say about MT is "oh.. but you have to press the clutch.. so much work especially in traffic...."


I'm like.... "yea, and you have to press on the gas AND brake too, so much work for your right foot... why don't you call an ambulance...."

I do have to say that the tiny engagement window on the stock Z clutch was pretty annoying in stop and go traffic. Also, while I don't think the clutch in the Z is too heavy, the old school clutches were a lot more work so people are probably just going off of the "horror stories" of people with really heavy clutches. I know I drove an older pickup with a decently heavy clutch with a super long travel and long throws and it was definitely more work than all of the other modern car clutches I've driven!
