if you get a tune now and later add intakes or whatever. you would have to get the car re-tuned.

JMO Intakes are a waste of money since we have stock CAI's. K&N Filters with Post MAF's get a better "throughout the RPM range" result. Especially after a tune. And you'll save $250

My friend Omar is a tuner at the location here in Austin, he let me "try out" a modified throttle map for the day. There was a noticeable difference during wot for sure.

I have 4 maps on my tune which is awesome
#1 91 octaine colorado high alt tune (with mods) (320 whp) #2 94 octaine California low altitude tune (340 whp) #3 Valet tune 2800 rpm limited (no ferris Bueler runs in my Z) #4 parking lot "kill tune" (no fuel tune/ anti theft tune) car won't start / run the variable maps make the tune a no brainer to me.

Uprev tuning is definitely worth it! I had my Z dyno tuned with an UpRev rom as well as my Altima SE-R that I had a few years ago, and in both cases, saw anywhere from about 7-12 lb ft of torque gain across the ENTIRE rev band. And if you're seeing even 10 lb ft more at 7,000+ rpm (or roughly where our VQ37's are peaking in power output), you're looking at 13+ peak whp increase. IMO though, the best part of the uprev tunes is what the tuner has been able to get out of the midrange. The engines just feel so much more lively from 2-5k! All in all, I've loved the uprev tunes and feel they've been worth every penny!
Don't expect it to work magic for your throttle response, but depending on what ROM you are running currently, whatever updated ROM the dyno shop flashes onto your ECU may have updated throttle tables that could help it out. When I had my Z dyno tuned towards the end of last year, the shop used the latest ROM and I've never had any issue with my throttle response. It's quite good.
