Opinions on getting this Z?

This will be my secondary car just so everyone knows :) |
Other than the high mileage, that seems to be a pretty good price. Even putting those miles into KBB, it looks like average selling price (from a dealer) is around $15k. The carfax looks clean, so it really comes down to how it drives.
Test drive it. Multiple times. With the radio off. If you don't hear/feel/see anything that would constitute a "Red Flag" and you're ok with the miles, I say go for it. If you've got a mechanic you trust, it's worth paying them to give it a once over. |
op posting his own car ad? :icon08:

just want to say that it may have hidden problem in it (like accident but not in carfax, clutch need replace soon, tire, brake pad...)
dealer sell it cheap because their mechanic know something wrong in that Conclusion:bring a mechanic. |

That's def a lot of miles even for an 09. I got my 09 a few weeks ago and only had 17.5k on it. Only paid 19k. I'd keep searching. End of the road was 75k miles ago.

I wouldn't buy a Z with almost 130K miles on the Odometer. Even though these cars go past 200K+ miles its just a little much (for my taste). I'll say keep looking for maybe something in the 80K miles range.

There are many folks on the forum that have high mileage Z's. If they are properly taken care of they seem to last a long time. However, this is cheap for dealer retail. Edmunds suggests the going price for a little under $16K in Vegas.
Maybe they underpriced it to move it. I doubt it though. |
Just got a 2010 40th for 20k with only 3800 miles... I'd say be patient and keep searching. I almost jumped the gun myself on a couple other Z's, glad I stayed somewhat patient.
