Get the sport model. You can always add "better" aftermarket components than what factory premium packages offer, but in this case it's going to cost you a whole hell of a lot to get something that's really not all that much better. The sport brakes and wheels are pretty awesome out of the box and 99.9% of people only "upgrade" them for looks anyway.
The LSD is worth it over the base rear; I've heard some track junkies bitching about how they needed to replace it, but IMO either they're super-demanding, highly skilled drivers or they're full of $h*t. I have no issues with mine. SRV is a cool feature and you won't be able to install it on a base model. You can always get better suspension but chances are you don't need it unless you're Ricky Bobby... I feel that for most people the only things really worth upgrading (not talking just cosmetic here) are things that don't come on the sport models anyway like performance intakes/exhaust, short-throw shifter, etc. I'm also willing to bet that very few people on this forum are able to drive this car to its extreme limits anyway, even in stock trim.

I chose the base non sport simply because I new I would change out the crap I didn't want anyway so why pay twice and it was a 6k difference in price since I bought my 11' in May of 12' brand new. The diff I changed out, the suspension is completely different. I upgrade stuff when it needs upgrading. I autox my car and built it for that, so far the only thing I regret not getting the sport package for is the rims and brakes. As the brakes now are the next thing on my long list of stuff I want or need, which I am pretty sure I will be getting the Z1 upgrade package.
The SRM is a nice feature for people that are still learning how to drive a man tranny. my feet are the right size to heel toe properly with the small azs go pedal. |

I got a base, but I have replaced everything that would come with the Sport anyway..
wheels, big brake kit, seats radio, suspension ect ect ect... Mine is a 7at so I am not missing the SRM. I love my car, but If I had a chance to do it again, I would probably get a Nismo... I just love the body kit on those.

I was on the fence between Base Vs. Sport for a very short time.
If you are not going to heavily mod the car and swap out the components that come with the Sport package then sport is the way to go. When I first got it I shut off the SRM because I had been driving manuals for years. One day I decided let me give this thing a try, once I was able to disable myself from rev matching I learned to appreciate it. I haven't shut off SRM since then. If $$ is your concern save a little more and get the sport package.
