I chose the base non sport simply because I new I would change out the crap I didn't want anyway so why pay twice and it was a 6k difference in price since I bought my 11' in May of 12' brand new. The diff I changed out, the suspension is completely different. I upgrade stuff when it needs upgrading. I autox my car and built it for that, so far the only thing I regret not getting the sport package for is the rims and brakes. As the brakes now are the next thing on my long list of stuff I want or need, which I am pretty sure I will be getting the Z1 upgrade package.

The SRM is a nice feature for people that are still learning how to drive a man tranny. my feet are the right size to heel toe properly with the small azs go pedal.

I got a base, but I have replaced everything that would come with the Sport anyway..
wheels, big brake kit, seats radio, suspension ect ect ect... Mine is a 7at so I am not missing the SRM.

I love my car, but If I had a chance to do it again, I would probably get a Nismo... I just love the body kit on those.

Who but an elitist would report himself??

tenkies, good choice on the sport model. Good luck finding one and when you do, you'll appreciate it.

For those of you that purchased a manual sport model do you think it was worth the difference than purchasing a base model and doing the upgrades yourself? and for those that bought the base manual model do you regret not getting the sport package?

I'm on the fence right in trying to figure out which is the better model to pull the trigger on?

Any input would be helpful.
Have you considered a Nismo? They are so sick looking, you get it all and more, that is if you don't care to get the Touring Pckg.

I'd argue that from a purely performance standpoint they're not "worth" the extra cost over a sport model, at least not at MSRP. Also the interior is a bit spartan if you like things like leather, decent quality sound, nav, and a backup camera (a very useful feature on the 370). If you're talking used then all bets are off.

I love my NISMO anyway though.

They actually handle worse than the sport model by the reviews I've seen - skidpad and braking were both worse I think.

Nissan claims the NISMO is better on the skidpad (0.99g) but it's really splitting hairs and probably dependent on who is doing the testing.

Don't pay Msrp ! I paid about $1600.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned. The suspension is stiffer than base. Rougher ride.
