I agree that if you care about not ******* up your car and you slow down, screw the people who have a problem with it. I also agree that if you modify your car to a point of it being unable to effectively navigate the public roads you use, you deserve all the honking, middle fingers, tossed milkshakes and so on that you get. You asked for it, so take it like a man. |

the gtr was not at fault in this video. though no signal light, the gtr was going slow enough for the SUV behind to slow down and seems like the civic behind the SUV wasn't paying attention.

If I'm on the road and I'm just going "slow" I stay on the right lanes since I have no business in the left lanes. I drove yesterday on I95 for a distance of about 65 miles and I was going faster on the far right lane and passing many others since the left lane was being occupied by slower than normal drivers. Don't feel bad, you pay your taxes and insurance like anyone else. You are entitled to take care of you vehicle and anything that belongs to you. A few extra seconds is not going to hurt anyone, and if the person behind you is so much in a hurry then perhaps they should have planned and managed their time a bit better.

My car is also stock height (NISMO). I have had a regular Z or two as well and they will surely scrape a lot more than a Camry will, though not quite as much as a NISMO. I am not sympathetic to drivers who expect me to take ramps and speed bumps at SUV speeds in the slightest. On the other hand, I think if you lower your car 2" and high-center on speed bumps and tie up traffic, you're kind if a jerk and deserve the fingers. |

At least it's not a daily occurrence. Maybe try putting on your blinker and then switching to your hazards as you really slow down to start the turn. I might get dash/rear cams for evidence against anyone who might chose to "bump" you out of the way.

TLDR, idgaf about the guy behind me bitching cause I'm taking a couple seconds longer to angle my car going up in malls or whatever.
Last year I actually had a woman in a white civic tell me to learn how to drive cause I was angling. What a joke.

Hey i used to own several bimmers Quote:
I agree on a lot of what you said. My old M3 used to be low but it was not low enough to where i had to go 3mph through dips, nor did i have to angle my car and slowly crawl up driveways/parking lots to the point where it was inconvenient for people behind me. Yes i slowed down but it wasn't always needed and when it was needed i went as fast as i could. If there was a bad street i would take another route but that was if the street had unusually tall speed bumps. For the sake of people behind me and not destroying my car i never went lower. The problem is that some of the "slammed" and or "hellaflush" folks are begging for attention, good or bad, they seem to bask in it. And those are the inconsiderate types, it's true that some get an air suspension which solves the problem but a lot of the hellaflush ricers don't have an air suspension and they do not seem to mind coming to a full stop and then reversing and repositioning their car if they begin to scrape, they don't seem to mind coming to a full stop around speed bumps and either doing a 180 or trying to strategically position their car as to avoid scrapping. Just for fun: https://youtu.be/5Vo378mO9q8 |

Not hellaflush enough, it needs more of a drop and negative camber. After that you will get mad respect |

I've just recently gotten my car lowered on coils. I requested a half inch to an inch of a drop. Which isn't ridiculous, but with the amuse body kit it's a semi nightmare. So yes, occasionally I take my time getting into parking lots or things of that nature. And in those scenarios I believe people should be "considerate" of what's happening. Have I scraped my bumper or side skirts because I didn't want people to feel like they have to wait? Yes. Did it pain me every time? Yes. Does me scraping my bumper to make them not have to wait an extra 5 seconds make them or me feel better? Probably not. In fact, they're probably thinking one of two things: "That guy's an idiot for lowering his car in this area!" OR "Damn he shouldn't have taken that so quickly!" I can see both points being made very clearly. Minor under carriage/bumper damage I can somewhat be ok with. Any curb that's going to cause significant problems/damage to my car, I'm going to take with caution, regardless of who's behind me. It's not a "**** them" attitude on my part. Just a....minor inconvenience isn't worth hundreds/thousands of dollars attitude. And if turning into a parking lot slow is causing accidents I can almost guarantee that I won't be receiving that ticket.

I'll post what I posted in another thread the majority of the handling sports cars that we love are low as hell either at the Z's stock height and many of them are longer. If you scraped on a slightly lowered Z or a stock height Z then you would have scraped in a stock vette, insert lamborghini, insert ferrari, insert porsche, insert viper, insert you bought a nismo, etc.
Slammed static is excess but swift spring lowered non-nismo vs a stock height Z is like a stock height Nismo vs a Non-Nismo Z.
